Hello everyone. I’m about 5 weeks into flower and I notices some bright green bulges appearing in my buds. They were feminized seeds from DC seed exchange. Does it look like it was pollinated or starting to Hermie? Or am I being paranoid? Thanks in advance for any input.

Looks like some developing seeds pods to me. Bust one open and investigate.

I believe these are seeds developing, your girls appear close to being in the harvest window. So you will still have some decent bud with a few under developed seeds. It sucks, but could be much worse.

You should get some goodness from these ladies. Be careful around the seeds. Approach with

Those should be seeds and sadly, they need at least 4 to 6 weeks to mature ON the plant.

Pollinated for sure, quite probably from a hermaphrodite flower somewhere on the plant.
The seeds may be viable if you let them mature long enough, but they may also carry a propensity to hermaphrodite themselves if you choose to grow them out.

I just found the same green fluorescence on my gelato at 6 weeks into flower… plucked probably 8 white seeds from a random lower small bud…
Never saw nanners, but I had many stress induced scenarios that could have tripped her over the edge… Not blaming unstable genetics/yet… I have a kush, and harlequin in there, so I’m about to find out if she crossed …I cut clones from them months ago (seperate box) so the truth about genetics will be revealed soon enough.
No worries, tincture or hash when such occurs… there’s always something interesting to learn

One of the plants has popped a nanner or 2

Could be from stress and it could just be genetics.
If you get familiar with hermaphrodites and what the nanners look like, sometimes you can sometimes pluck them out before they can mature and stop or minimize seeds…
If you want to grow them seeds you can if they are on the pkant long enough to “darken up”.
There is a chance that they will hermi as well but a chance they will not either… so just watch them closely if you do.
Believe it or not, the original Gorilla Glue #4 came from a hermaphrodite so the legend goes…
And I have a mother that came from a hermaphrodite seed and it’s my favorite smoke. Its the only stain I “mother” and grow out clones from…

I just grew 2 Jack Herer autos that went great until the last 2 weeks and seeds started showing up. When I trimmed I found they were everywhere, on every branch out, 2 seeds. Pain the axx to remove but the pot was (is) good. I do not understand it though. Why?

@priestriver They somehow either self pollinated which can be caused by a stressor or were somehow actually pollinated. If the weed is good pretend it’s the 80’s and just pluck’em out retro style and make jokes. Then tighten up your security methods on the next grow.

That plant gave up 4.3oz… super happy after getting over the seeds. Getting over the seeds happened as soon as I tried the bud on. So NICE!!!

Checked my other 2 plants alongside the herm, and yes… Dang it… The harlequin has the same tick sized false seeds coming on… The other plant … Kush…has none! I’ll take a stab and say stress because those two stalled on me at week 3… I associated it with the HST (branches were not pliable, and accidentally snapped/repaired quite a few on both those plants) it must have shocked them just enough.
Ironically this a bigfoot glue, which is a descendant I think. It might have gotten too close to the lights. But from now on I’ll check routinely for nanners. I won’t get too down. I see it happens to others. Thanks everyone for the help.
