Does the waxy curling down leaves indicate to much nutrients

Humidity is 38%

Possibly…

Dark, waxy leaves are a symptom of nitrogen toxicity.

What is the res temp, and how do the roots look?

What nutes are you using, and what is the pH and ppm?

I’m using FF trio in clay pellets
2 tsp grow big/ gal
2tsp bloom /gal
1tsp tiger bloom/gal
Ph has been between 5.9 and 6.4. Trying to maintain 5.9-6.1
Nutes are 1371 ppm
Temp 63
Humidity 38%
1000 watt full spectrum light 18/6
Week 7

Try dropping that ppm down to 800-1000. PH sweet spot is 5.8, 6 is ok. I’m not used to seeing cloudy nutrient solutions but I’m sure some do that. Not a lot of roots for week 7 from seedling I assume? Also, a bit more humidity might be a good thing. Maybe aim for 50%+.

Is your light at full tilt 1000w or, is it a 1000w equivalent?

I used the same grow kit you have, vivosun right?

Oh, are you monitoring the ppm and pH drift as she uses up water?

100w LED. Going to need a bit more power for a decent harvest. Most like to aim about 200-250w a plant. It will grow of course but more would be better.

Agree with @surf and would ask what your res temps are and if you’re using a root inoculant to help keep pythium away. Root root occurs in hydro if the res temps are not kept below 70 degrees and the inoculating the roots is a must. Most use Hydroguard but I prefer Southern Ag :love_you_gesture:

This is my second grow with bluberry. i also had a northern light in my tent last time. the tent was in a differwnt spot and humidity was around 50%.
i will drop my nutes and c what happens.

Dropped ph to 6.02
Dropped ppm to 1039

Oh I forgot one thing. Turn that drip ring off if not already. Once roots hit the water turn it off. I left mine on too long.

What’s the tent temp? Is it that low too? Might want to supplement some heat.

Sorry for rushing in your thread @Mrobone, but can someone help me to find an issue with my plant :upside_down_face:, DWC as well
Using Terra Aquatica (General Hydrophonics) trio (grow, micro, bloom) 1-2-4/L of water (total 10L)
ppm 750 (yesterday 810)
ph 6.5 (yesterday 5.8)
water temp 62
air temp 74
RH 75
water level static from yesterday
Can someone tell me what I doing wrong? Maybe deficiency or excess?

Its in flower it looks like. Keep ph under 6.1.

Sorry yesterday ph was 5.9-5.8 today 5.5, and yes 6 week from sprout

Question for getting ppm down what did you reduce. Hope it was grow big.
I’m not in hydro but when I get a nitrogen tox in promix. I eliminate grow big all together and just run big bloom and tiger bloom till it goes away. There is enough nitrogen in those 2.
I run those between 800 and 1000 with those 2. Not saying grow big isn’t necessary but thats a lot of nitrogen between the 3 of them.
I use the ff trio exclusively. I only give a little GB and not every feed. If I do I always get N tox.
My suggestion for mix. Start with 1 gallon of water mixed with a half teaspoon of epsom salt and then bump up on GB and TB equally untill ppm is between 800 and 1000.
Like I said I’m not hydro but I do know the ff trio been using them a lot of years.
Also do you use ro water or what? If so eliminate epsom and add calmag plus iron.

Why did you not start a separate thread for this. Sure makes things easier.

I’m kinda new to this site. Not sure what to post where?
