Deficiency or effect of over watering

I was looking through your pictures and your leaves that are contorting is an excess problem (toxic build up), she has nice progression and has came back quite a bit, but after this next flush she should be back on track, once you get her flushed again, blow up the 2nd chart it has some answers you need as well my friend

Using the Epson salt mixture will be your flush for the plants that’s what you want to use

Thanks I appreciate the help!! I got no one to talk about this stuff. Thanks I will keep you posted.

I’m here,

The problem is Sulfur. he needs to get that P H

Soil

Sulfur gets locked out of soil growing at ph levels of 2.0-5.5
Sulfur is absorbed best in soil at a ph level of 6.0- 9.5 (Wouldn’t recommend having a soil ph of over 7.0 in soil) Anything out of the ranges listed will contribute to a Sulfur Deficiency.

Hydro and Soil less Mediums

Sulfur gets locked out of Hydro and Soil less Mediums at ph levels of 2.0-5.5
Sulfur is absorbed best in Hydro and Soil less Mediums at ph levels of 6.0- 9.5 (Wouldn’t recommend having a ph over 6.5 in hydro and soil less mediums.) Best range for hydro and soil less mediums is 5.0 to 6.0. Anything out of the ranges listed will contribute to an Sulfur deficiency.

Solution to fixing a Sulfur deficiency
Mix 1-2 teaspoons of Epsom salts per gallon of water until condition improves.
Any Chemical/Organic nutrients that have Sulfur in them will fix a Sulfur deficiency. (Only mixing at ½ strength when using chemical nutrients or it will cause nutrient burn!) Other sulfur nutrient supplements are: Rain water, Ammonium Thiosulfate, which is all fast absorption. Garden Sulfur, Sulfate of Potash, Gypsum.

Thanks brotherman, I thought it was a sulfur problem one im quite familiar with. But in the post above ph is mentioned at 6.58, so maybe a toxic build up causing a lock out resulting in flushing the toxins out right?

I appreciate the further help

@garrigan62 @Majiktoker Thanks again this is good stuff. Will it hurt if I flush today even thou I watered yesterday?

I wouldn’t advise it @Smokin_ernie, id let her dry up first, no need to cause further damage from overwatering ie; root damage etc

I was going to say the same thing… Hey I’m using your post…lmao

Good call!! I will let her dry out. Thanks again

My pleasure that’s what we are here for :+1:

Hey @Smokin_ernie is this an auto flower…

No. fem. seed blue dream

Well you at least have the opportunity to get things back on track… I’m not sure why you put such a small plant into such a big pot because that’s just going to complicate things a little bit , where is before you were just dealing with a small pot and could have got everything flushed out of it quicker and it would have made things easier on you … hopefully now that you’re in that big pot you can kind of let things go as they go and water litely and see where you go from there …she should start to show good signs of growth in the color should come back… but I think initially you where over-watering which started to lead to nutrient lockout… we call that squeezing the poor little bunny to death …sometimes you gotta Show No Love… because too much love can be a bad thing… like I said let her do her thing… do lite watering and see where you get from there…

Yes thanks! I was kind of thinking it was a bit small but thought it might help it rather then hurt it. It has made it this far so we will see what happens. I am guilty of giving too much love.

Don’t worry @Smokin_ernie we have all been guilty of giving too much love in one way or another and it’s understandable… we just want them to grow to be big and beautiful… but either way as you start to get better at this you will start to understand that less is better , weather it’s nutrients , this , that or the other …less is always better… besides light … more light never hurts , unless your plants are too close to them… but other than that you kind of want to let them do their thing and slap them around every now and then… they can take it trust me… I’m new to hydro and just the other night I moved a bunch of plants into their dwc buckets , but I probably cut off about 3 pounds of roots , because I just had them in trays and The Roots we’re all grown together like crazy so every plant was so mad , I thought they were going to die …but the next day they were all happy , looking at me with smiles even if they didn’t have any Roots barely , they were still looking at me like let’s get this going…

How did her roots look?

I could see white tips poking out the bottom of the soil. I didn’t dig too deep for the fear of breaking the roots. It was not root bound which could have stayed in pot longer. I was using a peat pot and wanted to get it out of that pot before the roots dug into it. The plant is still growing I can see one or two greener leaves. So maybe she is pulling through.

So added some cal-mag plus and some fox farm nutrients. It has improved a lot. So it has taken a while for it to start looking better but it is starting to turn around. It is a lot greener and new growth looks normal so just got to keep watching it.

Since the first sign of the problem I have flushed 2 times with epsom salt, added an all in one nutrient that contained sulfur, cal-mag plus and big bloom and grow big. Also watering in between feedings with just epsom salt pH water. So you can see it has taken a bit to get her back to good standings.

It has come a long way. Still not perfect but it is doing pretty good.
