DAY 1(11 May 2024): Dropped a Deez Nuggz bean in some spring water and put on heat mat @ 85f. Put in paper towel after 18 hours and back on heat mat under dome.

Awesome I am ready to follow your grow. Good luck sounds like a great strain
Plant it now. Dont let it soak longer nor anything else. Place it in whatever you will grow in and let it sprout there. The less you manipulate it the better.
@FUKAZ28 this one already seems to be going better😂
Everywhere I’ve read (and also what I’ve always done) is allow the root to get to 1/2" before planting. Is there a benefit to planting now vs waiting?
To me, and this is just my personal opinion,
Once the seed cracks and you can see the nub on the taproot, then the process has begun and there is no stopping it. The root will begin to grow through its natural process and start looking for “Down” from its orientation. If I keep moving it for another day or two the direction the taproot is seeking keeps changing. Waiting to put it in the soil serves no useful purpose other than getting to watch it. Once the root emerges it will naturally curl like in this picture. See how they begin to curl in the opposite direction from the way it started…
You can take advantage of the tendency by planting the seed pointed end up. Like this…
Seed has a dimple on the other side. It goes down.
As the root turns naturally it will reach a point where it stretches to bring the top up out of the soil. In this orientation the plant will leave the shell in the dirt as it emerges. I don’t get helmet heads any more doing it this way. The seedling doesn’t waste any time adjusting to gravity and which way is down so they sprout in about 48 hours from when I place them in the dirt. I don’t even wait for the seed to crack open. 24 hours in a water soak and then plant it. My latest batch of 4 did just exactly as I said. Soaked overnight. Planted in solo cups, 48 hours and 4 seedlings. This is at day 11. …
DAY 2(12 May 2024): Seed is split with little radicle nub showing. At the advice of @Spiney_norman I have potted the seed instead of waiting longer. The medium is Happy Frog soil in a 3 gal grow bag from Honor the Plant.
Dont water it any more till it sprouts. You can cover with a clear cup to hold in the moisture.
You can see my clear covers in my photo above
Looks perfect.
Nice healthy seedlings my friend
Good luck with your grow keep posting updates so I can see your success
She looks perfect.
