@Twelve1 glad you’re here
@Jayjay504 glad you’re here as well.
Thanks, my friend. I just finished hanging her up in my drying room. Ill post pics with tricombs later on tonight. Im super happy with these buds. Ill roll one up here real soon and give a smoke report. After this stuff is dry, ill get you a nice sample sack together for ya. I got some jars to get back to ya.![]()
Cool, I cant wait to try it.
And so it begins, my friend…
I see a storm trooper! Always a fun moment.
Curious, you are using promix? Why not just do an organic grow? You can buy 4-4-4 dry ammendments, worm castings, some coarse perlite. Let it cook for 10 days and do a water only grow? No need to ph anything. Add some 2-7-4 dry ammendment a couple weeks prior to flip. I get mine from Optimize Organics here in BC. We don’t get Build a Soil in Canada as far as I know?
Its really trouble free… simply top dress a month into you grow with 4-4-4 and add water. I also will be using their liquid organic 3-1-2 grow and Bloom 1-3-3 at the same time I top dress just for added momentum lol.
How are you liking the ACI ai controller? I bought one and have yet to set up my new 4x4. Had to get a few UIS blocks to go with my non ACI lighting and humidifier etc. Im sure it will be just fine though. Kinda cool this modern technology stuff.
Not much of an indoor grower to be honest, did a few pure hydro grows… mostly outdoor is my thing.. lazy and prefer not to have to mix and ph anything lol

This is my 2nd indoor grow. I normally grow outside in a living soil. Once they are in the ground they only get top dressed one time in veg once at the beginning of the streatch and one around week 6 of flower. Maybe one more time If I think they need it. Im using the pro mix in the solo cups but haven’t decided what soil Ill be using in the 7gal grow bags just yet. I have pretty much everything Id need to do a living soil. Im probably gonna do something similar to what i did on my 1st indoor grow
Nice man! Yeah this will be my first living medium indoors, really looking forward to it. As I said, Ive done hydro… and help others hahaha with their grows! You know what I mean there
I like the idea if the Coots recipe but not much of that is remotely local around here. The other company I previously named has their version of the mix… very similar to build a soil… but with substitutions. I’ll give that a go this time in 30 gallon pots. A good bud of mine has a huge library of seeds and a large room of mothers… I’m leaning towards a cut of pink kush this round. His cut is apparently to die for. I’ll keep an eye on your grow, sounds like it’ll be a good one! ![]()
Oh yeah, if you plan on doing the living ( medium ) thing… do your flower top dress 10 days to 2 weeks before you flip. The breakdown process takes a bit of time.
Yeah outside I like to top dress in azomite, langbeinite and rock phosphate along with biolive and worm castings. I water it in with a molasses, humic acid and epsom salt tea with tribus or fishshit at the begining of or a couple of weeks before the stretch. Pro mix is a good base for creating a living soil as long as you have the stuff to add into it and the microbes to break it down. Some of that takes a little while to break down and become available to the plant. I usually ammend my soil in December and again in March then again right before I transplant them into the ground.
