Cultivating Chaos with Madam Calamity & Low Chapter 2

Had a 2016 for a field truck a few years back. Had it for about 2 years. Was a good dependable truck. It was heavy but ours are already laden with tons of equipment so… I got it stuck a few times.

My 18 silverado is a great truck not a 2500 but it does great and mileage is ok .dod put the unit in so it doesn’t drop cylinders for economy. 1100000 on the Cuban and still going strong.

Holy crap! That’s impressive power numbers for a street truck.

I drive a 2015 F150 with the 3.5 eco boost and it gets amazing gas mileage for as heavy as the truck is. It’s got 211,000+ miles. I recently did a couple of mods to up the performance it’s amazing the difference it made in HP/TQ. The acceleration with this truck, even with 33” AT tires, is impressive at any speed. I embarrassed a Tundra driver yesterday afternoon :call_me_hand:Good luck finding your new ride.

Happy Birthday Sir. @Borderryan22

This would be awesome :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

I would have to agree here. I had a 2500 that killed my bank account. Motor,trans, rearend, and may other things, all before 150,000 miles. I have a GMC now that has been pretty good so far, but I know that Ford makes a very nice truck.

Good afternoon @Low Hope all is good Sir. :victory_hand:

@Low you are definitely getting your money out of that F150. Funny about Ford, and I guess it applies to other manufacturers as well. In Ford’s case, they seem to do very well with their truck line. I just had to replace the water pump and vacuum pump last week which was a cool $1100 from my savings. But the truck has been solid. The factory brakes lasted 150,000 miles on this truck - hard to believe. My kid bought a 2018 Ford Focus with the 1.0 liter eco boost motor and just at 51,000 miles, it’s on its third engine. What a crappy design. The oil pump is driven by a nylon type belt and its internal to the crank case. What genius thought that was a good idea? I think they must be stoners, collectively.

I’m a Chevy guy so I might be a little biased but I’ve always loved the Silverado. I’m in a 2015 1500 right now it’s been great to me anyway

lol, I think they can get away with a lot. Specially because most people don’t do work on their vehicles anymore. :man_shrugging:t3:

Good to hear. I thought I’d bring it up here just cause. I’ve only owned a couple chevys, not a whole lot of hands on with them.

Think this 3500 would be worth it?

You said yourself it checked all the boxes if it’s in your price range I would jump on it. The 3500 is too much truck for me but I would have loved to get my hands on a 2500 when I was in the market lol

Thanks buddy! Too much truck? Maintenance wise, too stiff suspension? I know the HDs seem to ride better when loaded and are a bit uncomfortable unloaded.
