Cooters Grows, HLG, Mars Hydro, AC Infinity

If she’s still the same maybe skip her on fertigation for a day and see if she responds? Or is that not a good idea in coco?

How much water are you using. My thoughts are you should be focused on watering the outer edges right now. If you are giving enough water for run off. You may be over watering. I would hand feed on the outer edges for a week. Get her bigger before trying to feed enough for run off that close to her. I have never used those rings. I have looked at them and was looking at 10" rings so I could wet the whole pot as well as grow the roots out. :+1:

I’m thinking if anything is probably what Not2SureYet is saying. Not necessarily too much water, but may be too much too close to stem.

Been fertigating almost 1 gallon a day with about a qt. of runoff between all 3 plants

I can probably simplify things a bit for you here if you like. I would recommend you top feeding till the Plant at least makes it 2/3 of the way to the edge. Water or feed mainly the outer edge of your rings there. I say water but it can be feed too. Water each till you get 3 - 4 cups of run of from each pot. You can skip a day of feeding if you want at that point while these are so small. I think if you water more on the outer edges. You will see all these take off pretty nice :slightly_smiling_face:
One they make it 2/3rds across. I would then go back to the water rings.

Thanks for the advise @Not2SureYet @dbrn32 We’ll get it dialed in eventually. My other setup I didn’t have a problem. But… they are in 3 gallon pots and these are in 5’s.

I agree with the top feeding until plant becomes more established. The roots don’t look like they are keeping up.

Heard that, its just a theory and may not be correct. The thought is that over watering is more of an issue with oxygen to root zone than anything else. When root mass is small if its able to supply plant with necessary amounts of water it doesn’t expand as fast as if it needed to in order to get water. So when there’s abundance of water it kinda creates a domino effect right back to itself. By watering around edges of pot makes the roots expand, and because you will then have more root mass it will uptake the water there faster, which will increase the rate at which you run through wet/dry cycles, and can feed all the time and still get adequate amount of oxygen to the roots. I think anyway.

Yup people say you should water coco everyday but when they’re that small they just don’t have enough roots to drink that much ,they much prefer to start on a 3-4 day schedule

Morning time for them. Sick little gal looks rough. Will give them all a break from fertigating today. Her sisters still seem healthy

Guess I just take this one as a learning experience. Too much too soon!! Can’t believe she died that fast though. First plant I’ve lost. Now to decide what to do with an open spot. Drop another seed that will be 2 weeks behind? Start a couple photoperiods for a long veg? Was planning on photos in this setup next. Guess I have the next 9hrs at work to decide

Sorry CooterJuice. Only one thing to do……. Grow another. You gave her a Viking funeral I hope.
I lost one too…her name was Sky. She got turned upside down in her Dixie cup and never made it out……so sad.

September 27th, Day 20. Other 2 plants are growing pretty decent now I think. Turned res back on and fed through the Halos again. Still 500 ppm. Was time for some bondage. Chose not to top or fim these 2. Just gonna lst. Dropped 2 ILGM Blue Cheese photos in water and h202 on Thursday at 4pm. Planted in coco solo cups Friday at 10pm. This little gal joined the party today. Nothing on her sister yet. These will veg while the autos finish. And a bag seed bet I kinda lost (pretty sure it’s wedding cake) is growing in my 2x4 that will join these 2. Last pic is of her (hopefully a her!!) In the self wicking planter my lady friend planted her in…
