Cooling tube: what do I do?

Yes I was @Laurap
Wait what no I was talking about exhaust
And you should have a intake available if you don’t already

Hey everyone.

I’m working on setting a new indoor grow. Do I need both an intake and exhaust fan? Or is an exhaust fan sufficient enough to move air through?

@Ray4x
You might get away from needing a intake fan if your house stays really cool during the day, and you leave your vent flaps slightly open. But when our Inland Empire temps get into the high 90s -low 100;s like they will next month, you will probably have a heating problem. Im running great temps today, but its not hot. Im going to have a real problem next month. Probably going to have to get a portable AC unit to blow on my intake fan.

What type of climate do you live in? I’m in SW and have exhaust, intake fan at bottom, two small fans inside and now a cooling tube. Your temp in tent will be at least 7 degrees higher than room. We’ve also installed a small window unit and have it set at 62°. I’ve had a lot of problems keeping temps under 77°. We’re hoping cooling tube will allow us to up temp on a/c. We also have their day start at 7pm and go off at 1pm.
Hope this helps

He lives near me. Probably within 15 miles or so.

Yeah I was hoping to do my grow in the garage. And that is definitely hotter than my house. But his way I don’t run the risk of the smell in my house.

So if I do it in the garage I will for sure need an intake valve then huh?

Or if I bring it inside- will a carbon filter cover the smell enough?

The filter will take care of smell. I wasn’t sure it would so I also planted mint all around the house. Rodents and bugs don’t like the smell.akes outside smell really mint.

Tell him what he’ll need to add for temp control seeing that you know area , temps and humidity. What type of lights? Your MH and HP can really drive up temps

@Ray4x if you tag me into your thread I’ll help you figure out what you need to exhaust your tent or room I’m in the hvac trade so it’s kinda my thing
And welcome to the sand box
Happy growing :v::cowboy_hat_face:CB
Ps if you in your garage you may need some type of Ac depending on region your in I know my garage can hit 90 in mid summer just food for though depending on type of light your using temps will be higher in the tent :+1:

Gotta tell everyone I placed my cooling tube. It’s so awesome. Was thinking maybe 5° cooler bit I’ve been able to remove my bottom intake fan and up temp on window unit yo 70°. For two days at 93° 78% dewpoint and max temp 78°.
