white pistils = not ready
You check the trichs. All cloudy = high THC > 20% Amber = more couch lock especially with indica dominant. Make sure when you do look at the trichs with a scope you are focusing on the buds, not the lil sugar leaves.

Most of the hairs are brown and receding, still have some white ones popping but this is when I break out the scope and watch her each day until I make the decision to chop chop!!

yeah i’m not at the point where i can check trichomes. the first pic you can see that just a few pistils are white and the other pic has a lot more. these sour diesel are listed as taking 10 wks of flower so will wait and keep a close eye on it. the buds are still massing up, every day has new growth. thank you all.

Normally don’t count the first 2 weeks of flowering because thats a transition period. Just don’t harvest too early because it will have an effect on the terpenes also. Make sure you see a few amber colored trichomes around the calyxs before you harvest.

Flower time listed by seedbanks are typical based on optimal conditions. Could go 1-2 weeks + or -. Let the girl tell you when she is ready. If there is no way to check trichs, I would not chop until all the hairs are brown. You may always get a white one or two, I had that happen on my Blueberry Muffin so I did a staged harvest. Took 8 tops and left the lowers for 4 more days.

that’s what i was thinking. just take the buds that have very few white pistils and let the others go for a while longer.

yeah there’s a lot of amber color around the calyx’s, thats why i think it is ready to go. but i’ll wait and keep a close eye on it. the other looks like it’ll go another couple of wks.

500 ppm was/is the secondary standard (not a health issue but can affect the smell, taste, color) of the water. That applies only to public water supplies.
Sorry I haven’t kept up on drinking water standards.

Wasn’t sure… thank you… I’ve been to freinds house in other areas and the water can get so bad it smells like sulphur/methane gas. So bad you can’t drink it.

i’m not tagging every one in i figure you will all see this. anyway i’m going to flush both plants with this unphed water. there’s about 4.5 gals in this jug, and in a few days give them phed water until some good run off. than just give them phed water until ready to harvest. on the lst i’m doing with the autos. the way i figure from reading posts on this forum i have to get the nodes as symmetrical asi can around the rim of the pot. and not get them piled on one side like i have with the sour diesels. but i tell you what, i have learned lot from this forum and its participants, you all. so if nothing drastic happens i should get a good harvest.

@LiesGrows @ChittyChittyBangin @DoneDeal @Myfriendis410 @anon34311147 @JaneQP OK, what am i doing. after letting the water sit for a day and a half the ppm did not change much. will a ppm check after i water today tell me anything on the sour diesels. also here’s a look at them today. one is full of bud down the stem and the other not so much down the stem. but yeah good i followed your suggestions on not cutting down the one plant. i notice new growth on the buds with more white pistils every morning. on the blue dreams autos, i watered them to runoff on the 24th with 6.4 phed water and checked ph and ppm. one came out with 5.7 ph and 5107 ppm, and the other was 5.5 ph and 7043 ppm. am going to water the SD today and check ph and ppm and do the same to the BDs to

@ChittyChittyBangin i don’t use a cell phone to take pics with, i use a canon. i can’t get clear close ups, but the bright on the left of the one bud. but the bright yellow that looks like a seed opened up. but there’s a few of them on other buds. they start green then they protrude out from the bud turn yellow than open up. look like tiny bananas.
