COCO: Demystifying the medium

Big plants that dry out the coco are tough to keep ec down. Even with excessive runoff. Wish i could water multiple times a day. But water only once a day so the res temp is right since im in a 60 degree basement. Check this gal out. Drinking 3 gallons daily but need to throw in a extra feeding here and there to mitigate the drying out which is causing ec to creep.

There is a few leafs spread out that looked cooked from ec creeping up past a 4. My personal threshold, but this stubborn gal drinks too much.

Set that up on an automated system and water like 8 times a day

If you responding to me, i do it like that in the fall and spring. I got timers for pumping and agitation. But the res is too cold and im not adding another heater to the equation. I deal with it by doing extra feeds when i can. So i plug in my pump after res temp gets heated up in person. So this is why im doing it in such manner. Results are still fine. Normally do not do winter runs, but i got board.
