COB Lighting Info

Most people I see run them a little higher than nominal, around 65-70w per strip

Could I trouble anyone for the part number on the strip lights. There are a tone of parts on arrow and DigiKey.

That’s weird it’s only the 4000k color that arrow has in stock and at that price. I was gonna grab a couple to have in reserve but don’t really want them in that color. Great for you @Familyman
Oh here’s the part number
SI-B8T521560WW

That’s the double row

Thanks man. I love tech stuff. My aquarium was an automated robot lol. I was just watching light mover videos lol

Lol yeah it’s great info these two share. I’m a tech junkie too!

I just get annoyed by sourcing the parts etc. that’s why I bought the HLG kits the first go. I’m probably going to add a second grow area to my room and want to build them to save some money.

It’s a good way to get more bang for your buck for sure.

Wifey says no more gear until i pay my debt for first phase of project. She sucks!

Hahaha mine is getting closer to that point. I gotta spend about another $100 in a couple weeks. I’m trying to stall it as long as possible lol.

My wife is very supportive: She doesn’t smoke but she watered my mothers while I was out of town for a week. I think she mostly likes the waste heat I reuse to warm the bedroom during the winter!

Yeah mine can’t smoke. And she hates the smell. But this is the only hope I’ve got of getting some pain relief. So she’s supportive. I’m already about $1200 into my grow setup. That number is probably higher as I didn’t keep track of all of it just the big amounts.

I think im under $600 counting electricity :joy::joy::+1:t5::+1:t5: And no wife. And yea the info here is great. Im assembling my other light soon as the driver comes. May should look into the vegables while on discount…

It’s a heck of a deal for veg light for sure.

I had some extra expenditures in that like the material to build walls to enclose my grow area. The reflective material and a bigger hole saw then I had for the uni seals. $480 on the lights I built. The hydro system is only about $200 not counting backup pumps for air and water. Nutrients, ph and ppm meters etc. It starts adding up fast buying it in big parts at a time. You probably have spent more than you think you just had it spread out further.

Nah. I havent bought tent fans reflective…
I got lights. Pots. Soil. Amendments. Ph. Couple nutes (really like $13 in on nutes :joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy: amendments to my doil cost more) o n seeds. Seeds n lights cost me ~$400 maybe 450

No climate/humidity controls. Already own a fan. N used like 50w last grow.

Hahah well you’re lucky. I had to do a lot of work to make sure I keep smell and noise down as well. And I still need to buy a window AC unit.

Ahh im renting and in a lovely spot. If it gets too bad ill invest in a couple Infiniti’s. But thatll be another location. Hopefully ill have a new spot and get to do some hope improvements :smiling_imp::smiling_imp::joy::joy:

It’s so great to be in a legal state and have the room on the ranch that no bad guys will ever know I’m growing. As long as I don’t tell anyone, which is the first rule for growing.

I’m using MARSHYDRO’S COB, and it looks perfect, and I saw the black Friday discount on their website today, so I’m going to buy two more tents
