All seedlings were given their first actual feed today , i didn’t have much on hand after setting up the beds but i did have access to some expired bio vega a great canna line i have used lots in the past , great for a lazy weeks feed being fermented a fair bit of it is available for uptake.

I was having some issues with the new carrot tops and have had to reset almost all of them twice but it seems they are calibrated finally.

The bio vega seems to be working its magic on the little ones in the peat moss , i wishbi had some perlite to add to the mix when i planted but itbis what it is the medium stays wet for longer than id like making for slow growth untill the plants get a bit bigger and can use the water faster.

I decided to take the seedlings out of the pots to see how the roots were coming along and i realized the seed starter mix was basically as far as the roots have ventured and the original cup shape plug was sopping wet and rock solid so i shook as much dirt out of the wad as i could and planted them in the beds well im half way through the lot at least. All rootballs were dusted with microbes and planted quite close together as i still havent sexed things so there will be a bunch to remove once i do.

During my morning walk through i noticed the little ones are starting to show some presex flowers even though they are just tiny , definitely looking like we will be able to flip in a couple weeks time. I was a bit too rough on a couple of the poledancer #2 and looks like i must have broke the tap while i was in a rush to remove the old soil that was causing the issue.

No surprise with bringing in all the materials from outside i managed to brinv in some thrips again oi. Well at least im not super poor and can afford (i use the term loosely lol) to buy a couple lbs of mycotal a water soluble bavaria bassianna product. This type of bb will inoculate my soil maintain effectiveness with minimal applications and leave no residue behind to contaminate the final product.

Managed to spray azasol yesterday and a round of wp22 (bavaria bassianna)today. I also removed all debris and cover crop other than a few herbs just to be safe
