Clarity please :)

Hi,
I’ve just grown my first outdoor harvest ever,
I am wanting some clarity and advice on nutrients,

I made my own soil mix with some pearlite, premium potting mix, coir mostly,

I had some ok results but I am wondering about how often to be feeding them?

I have used a mix of nitrogen, potassium and calcium,

Towards the end I would use more of a potash powder mixed in water ,

I was feeding them once every few weeks in a watered down solution.

Any advice on how often to be watering with plain water and then feeding them nutrients, as I know the potting mix would also have some slow release nutrients too.

Help please :pray:t2:

Hey @Sunshine85
I understand what you are asking but its a bit of a can of worms.
When you start mixing your own soils you limit the number of people who share the same experience.
The ingredients you use need to be listed specifically to get a good answer.
Things like size of the container, exactly what you are mixing for nutes, and are you watching pH and ppm numbers? If you can post those things then someone who has done something similar should chime in.

Hi there. Mixing potting soil and coir is going to be confusing. Both need different ph. Any pics?
