I’m trying not to go down the rabbit hole with this thing - I think I get it.
It’s like the blown glass part is the hitter (and it’s got water filtration!) and I could swap out a bunch of different options for the input side. I see how some kind of e-nail could screw on to this in place of the nail it came with or this battery/coil thingy

That tip should screw into the battery and then it’s electric.
Dab straws are the best way to hit dabs, they save alot of concentrate and a good one will taste great.
Dab rugs are expensive, more bulky and use more concentrate.
Getting away from torches is a must because the temp isn’t controlled.

I thought that might be the case but it was not on this. The tip is for heating with a torch or coil and the little Battery operated coil actually does thread right into the collector. It’s kinda neat.
With the battery coil attached it hits a lot like a fancy wax pen for better and for worse. I have a Puffco wax pen which has temp controls which is nicer…. And now that I’m typing this out I’m wondering if that Puffco chamber will mate up with this colllector. Man that would be trick.
I am very happy with my Peak Pro. I can control the temp in 5* increments (not that I need to) and can monitor the temp and set up preset temp profiles through the app and then switch profiles by clicking the button on the unit. The bowl is expensive for it tho and if it craps out it’s like $60 for a new one. The bowl actually measures the temp and adjusts the current accordingly where most bowls simply regulate the current and estimate temp based on current supplied. There’s a bunch of tech in that little bowl.

Yeah those dab rigs are nice, the puffco peak pro changed the game but to my understanding the Dr dabber one is the better of the top 3 right now.
I don’t find dab rigs handy though, the bowls need to be cleaned after every session to keep it tasting good and you need 3 hands or a place to load it which doesn’t suit my needs since we step out of the house to smoke.
Okay well when it’s - 30 or - 47 below freezing then we smoke in the grow room and blow the vape into the tent which sucks it outside through the filter.
Right now I have found the best thing to smoke dabs with is the dab straw/nector collector, I’m using a new ones that’s a cheap one from yocan called the Loki.
I like it but the flavour isn’t there, once the tip gets burnt I can’t taste the terps as much.
Not sure if I need a bunch of tips and just soak them in iso and use a clean one every usage or if it’s just this style.
They are porous whihh I’m not a fan of. Need a quartz or titanium tip dab straw for best results.

I just bought this airis 8, its one of the very few that has a quartz tip. Their websites easily usable so I just got it there and a box of 5 new tips when needed I’ll be getting.
Once I compare it to my Yocan Loki and ceramic tip.
So few options for quartz tips!

I toke in my grow room too and rely on the exhaust. 
Hundo P on keeping dab rugs clean. The Peak Pro and either of the wax pens I’ve tried - Pax3 and Puffco Plus all need to be kept clean as a whistle and it’s a pain for a guy like me who cleans his bong once a week at the most. The Peak is easy enough to just wipe the bowl out with a Qtip after each session but when it gets gummed up it’s a total whore to do a full service on the thing.

I’ve got a rokin stinger, lookah seahorse with attachment for rig works pretty good doesn’t use much dab the tip on Rokin is cleanable ceramic tip,lasts long time with maint.other is all right has electric coil tip qourts tips wore out and clogged very quick

@SilvaBack203 I looked at them and they seem to use the same end I think but they have no description so I emailed them to see what the tip is made of.

Airis is made in Canada though to my understanding or at least it was.

Get u a nectar collector u heat with a torch find ur hotness u like and dab on. I love my nectar collector. I have the lookah seahorse pro that has quartz tip it doesn’t get hot enough to get a nice solid hit like I take. I have to run the 20 second timer out and still didn’t feel like I got a good solid hit. Basically have a brand new electric dabber here I won’t even use anymore prolly lol

The first week at most of doing it makes u cough a bit but after that it’s like smoking a joint. Every1 I know says damn I’d die hitting that like that. Now they dabbed for a bit they drag thru just like I do I use to smoke a quarter to half a day now I’m lucky to smoke an 8th of wax in a week with my wife. Only smoke 3 or 4 times a day but be baked the whole day basically lol
