Cheapest first time grow

So I decided I wanted to grow but I wanted to give it a little go before putting money in and doing it properly so here’s mine from bottom bag seed grown in a cardboard box with cfl and led bulbs no more then 20 pound spent :joy: what’s all your thoughts so far it’s about a month old I think the yellow leaves only came because I was out of my house for a few days and couldn’t get to it,so that was the result

I would transplant that to a bigger pot with good drainage or a fabric pot and be sure not to overwater :v:

Yeah I need to get a bigger pot only been in that for about a week and already filled it up thought it would have lasted longer :joy: I put a few holes at the bottom seems to be doing alright with water but so far it’s going alright  @MattyBear

I take off my used up yellow leaves too

I did think about that but I didn’t no weather to or not how do I know when to take them off ? @MattyBear

You can snip them off with clean scissors or they might just pull right off the trunk :v:

When should I take them off now? Or just the shrivelled up ones? @MattyBear

Just the ones that are completely yellow for now :v:

You’d rather have the plant focus its energy on new growth and not wasting energy on trying to repair older growth :v:

I read somewhere else that the new growth takes the stuff from the old leaves and that’s why it was going yellow that’s why I originally left them ,but makes sense that they would still try repairing it if it’s stii attached @MattyBear

I see you are definitely keeping it low budget until you make the decision. When u transplant keep away from the clear containers. The roots like it dark. She looks good though, keep it green. Thumbs up!!

Yes, looking good! @LoCoRock is correct about the roots not liking light and cover the clear plastic with dark tape or paint. If you’re gonna transplant into a fabric pot, you’ll be fine :v:
