Cannabian is trying something new

Use the Force Luke

I bet if you put that expansive mind of yours on the job,
you will find a solution.

Rope and railway spikes?
Or just get downright kinky with it, am I right? @Budbrother @Tenga

No I mean, I can pull them down or sideways, but all Id be doingbis squishing branches against branches. The bushes are so thick there is no room to bend fu.k all anywhere! I would have to do some serious hacking to make room to bend shit, and all that would happen is it would fill back in with more bush!

Thats standing on a step ladder looking down on the short bushes.

This obviously isn’t your first rodeo that would have to be a pound and a half plus plant if not 2 correct? I’m just guessing the biggest I had was 9ft.

no! Definately not my first attempt lol. And because both of these strains are new to me, I have no idea of the yield. Could be shitty weed? Might be holy herb? Mystery pot!

yeah, that was abandoned. It was too late to try a different approach. The branch showed some root blisters forming but no root. I think I would need to remove the bark completely down to the cambium? I intend to try again next season.

@Cannabian you ever graphed 2 pla ts before.

nope, never saw a good reason to? Interesting idea though

Ive been thinking about side-grafting 2 diff strains together, and leaving both rooted. So I can see what happens, how it grows.

I’ve done many air layers with my fig trees, you have to score around the branch with a sharp knife, move up or down an inch and do it again then slice the bark between your 2 scores and remove it. Exposing the cadmium, Apply rooting gel, wrap a plastic bag filled with good soil around it, put a few drain holes in the bottom of it, a quick wrap of tin foil around the plastic to keep it dark and in about 3-4 weeks you should have a the beginnings of a root filled bag ready for transplanting.

I would think grafts would be hard to accomplish for 2 reasons, cannabis is not really a woody plant and it grows so fast that the graft may not be able to keep up with the expansion? However, Im sure it could be done, but with great difficulty. I may be totally wrong though? Might be super easy? I would consider the knotch and V method as the most structurally sound way? I would think keeping the the graft damp will be a challenge?
