Great Thread, thanks for the simple guides @Willd I came to start growing to find a better way to medicate than relying on Oxy, Pregabalin etc. etc. I not only feel better using weed but my head has got a lot clearer. @darren nice to know there’s more of us on this crazy Island. I had a great stand up row with an arrogant, condescending Surgeon in Derry last week. He felt that being rendered semi-conscious and drooling because of higher and higher levels of his Meds was the only answer to Pain Relief. Hopefully with this Thread’s advice I can prove him wrong.

Thanks @Wasthatmee & @Willd ,I think this is going to be a great way of dealing with all my pain and the nasty side effects of the dreaded tablets, they don’t get it that I don’t like being sick on the tablets, I don’t like the loss of apetite and stomach cramps, the endless sleepless nights and they can’t give me sleeping pills because of the emphysema, I’m on the tramadol and pregabalin and a mixture of others and it’s been years and they have no long term plan

I hear everything you say @darren The Long Term plan they ask you to accept is “Look, we know better, I’ll increase your dosage until you can’t ask any questions and with a bit of luck you won’t last long enough to prove us wrong.”

Yeah @Wasthatmee that’s the impression I get, it really is like they are surprised that I’m still around and they don’t want to waste their time doing the surgery, well be prepared to see me around for a lot longer you mother fudgers, now that I’ve found this once I’ve got my first lot done I’ll be away, I’m doing a little yip yip and a whoop whoop, just wait till I’ve tried it, I’ll be sharing it with everyone

@darren Have you taken a look at any of the articles on You tube in relation to RSO? Rick Simpson claims to have cured his own Cancer using the Oil. Worth a half hour’s viewing if nothing else mate.

Yeah I’ve seen about it ,not all about it yet as it’s definitely something I want to look into @Wasthatmee , I mean if it can work on cancer it could work on emphysema, I’d love to be the first person to cure my own emphysema and sod the doctors

I’ve made RSO with naptha to mix with pg or glycerine to make canna-juice for vaping but wasn’t quite able to evaporate all the naptha out resulting in a very chemical and toxic tasting product. I dumped it all because it made me feel sick after ingesting some.
I would only recommend making RSO if you can find 190 proof grain alcohol to do it with. I highly discourage anyone trying to make RSO using naptha instead of alcohol in spite of it being deemed an acceptable solvent.
Maybe naptha is the only way for an alcoholic to produce RSO, but I still have to discourage it’s use.

It also requires a substantial amount of matter to produce 1-2 tsp of RSO.
28 grams/cup of alcohol will yield about 1-2 tsp of RSO
I just noticed the new MB2 machine manual no longer includes instructions for reducing alcohol tincture into RSO but there are instructions how to on their site.

Oh yeah,thanks @Willd I am going to be getting one of those butter makers and it said you could do the oil aswell, I thought that would be the RSO, is it a different oil that it makes for the seizures then
MB2 literature refers to making cannabis infused coconut oil as well as butter for baking and culinary applications.
BUT it can also make an alcohol based tincture which you can then reduce into RSO by evaporation. The effect and potency is going to be largely dependent on which strain you use as well.
I believe what you’re referring to is what everyone is calling CBD oil. That’s different and is obtained by expelling the oil from the actual biomass under extreme pressure and perhaps some heat similar to how other plant, nut & seed oils are expeller pressed.

Okay @Willd thanks that is a bit different, but I thought that you could buy the cbd cannabis oil online and from a herbalist shop, is that the same one, the one people are using in their vaporisers as if that’s the case, I’ll save my cannabis and get an oil vaporiser lol my cannabis is to precious,there’s so much information here my sister is going to copy and paste pages of it and save it for me on my laptop, saves me a whole load of writing and I don’t know how to save it as a document, I could copy and paste lol
I believe the while it does contain a measurable amount of cannabidiol by volume, the CBD oil that’s commercially available and legal is extracted from hemp not cannabis.
Maybe @bob31 or @Hawkeye_diesel can correct me if I’m mistaken. They have personal experience using it. I’ve never had the opportunity.
It’s definitely not the same thing as RSO or the infused coconut oil the MB2 machine can produce.

Here is the man himself showing you his method. I intend trying it once I have sufficient Product. I’m learning to Grow. I’ve managed to get some Food Grade, 99% Isopropyl Alcohol which is the best medium I can find. (Ireland tends to be careful with Chemicals that go Bang!)
@darren if you’re near Dublin there’s a shop in Capel Street that Mail Orders CBD Oil around the Island. I won’t name them but i’m sure you can google.

I watch a lot of the programmes on cannabis as well as reading a lot, pretty much all the tv programmes I’ve watched are based in America and I saw the cannabis oil on there that they were using for people for their seizures, some of them were crossing state lines or even moving so they could get it for their children, some of the children were having as many as 200 an hour, poor kids, I couldn’t imagine having this many, but they were just putting a drop on their tounge and it would reduce it down to just a couple a day, or if given during a seizure could actually stop the seizure, my sister who is also my carer thought it would be nice to have some of this at the ready for my seizures, now I only have them every now and then and are probably as a side effect from all the tablets, probably the tramadol, not that the doctor’s will admit this but it does say may cause seizures, and I will probably stop having them when I can get off all the tablets , oh @Wasthatmee , I’m in Wales,the land of constant rain and loads of sheep, but amazing views
