Hello all fellow growers, been a year since been on here, been missing it. Can yall give me little help my lady has something she needs? She’s a blackberry moon rock. She’s 4 weeks old. Using fox farm soil and nutrients. @RightAway you still kicking around growing them beauty’s.
Howdy Brother Cajun @Cajunpapapump . Been missing you Bro. Okay so I see the chlorosis in the leaves, but don’t know exactly whats causing it. Lets call in some help @dbrn32 @kaptain3d @Budbrother @OGIncognito @Crazy81
Yes I am still growing moonrocks. Its in high demand due to the amazing kushberry flavor and stunning thc count. Got the momma outside ,(whose now pushing 12’)
The clones from that one got the top chop yesterday…
I grew these to harvest the mains for smoking and the rest for making a special hashish called “piatella”. Its a bit of a process but basically turns weed into a diamond type loaf of hash. With no solvents , from fresh frozen grass. Actually bought a freezer and a freeze drying machine to aid in accomplishing my goal.
I hope the Growmies can determine whats ailing your Girl. Hit me up on my thread , "Growing a SOG Right Away ". Great to hear from you, and very best of luck to You and Yours.
Happy Growing
Looks like maybe they got wet. If it is just a few leaves, I would take them off.
The color of those lower leaves has me stumped . I would venture a guess that you are growing the phenotype that goes completely purple in the bud phase,(I had one of them), due to the purple coming out in the damaged areas. Are you seeing other problems in the plant ? Or just the lowers? Wish I knew how to pull up the deficiency in cannabis chart. @kaptain3d is my only hope in these situations. Ignorance is not bliss, its annoying. Number 1 thing I can tell you, is don’t do anything drastic. Let the Growmies all have a chance to put their hands on the situation. Lets see if @Low is up and can look in…
The color suggests phosphorus deficiency, but the pattern says the leaves have been too wet, either way high humidity or laying on one another and sweating.
Might be watering too much
I would second that a thumb eyeball assessment suggests phosphorus but would also include that this could be lockout from ph or excessive levels of calcium and/or magnesium.
I see FF fertilizers in play too, is this the 3 part liquid? Has full recipe been followed? Scheduled flushing completed?
The others got you covered growmie
@dbrn32 @kaptain3d @RightAway , here’s what I’ve been doing just started 4th week usually feed every couple to 3 days and other day just jug water ph 6.2. I do the three bottle for one more week and supposed to do a flush with sledge hammer. Thanks for any help.
P excess
Excess Ca or K locks P. Likely Ca+. Seems the sledgehammer flush is in order.
@Budbrother thanks, will do flush and see what comes out. So think I’m feeding too much? Think after flush should just water for few days?
Sorry had a holiday weekend engagement but I obviously agree with Budbrother.
The ff schedule is notoriously high and probably the reason they recommend the regular flushing intervals. Ff users manage this in different ways based on their choice of potting media. Some will use a reduced strength, some will rotate feedings with ph’d waterings, and different things like this. I’m not really sure which is best for you but I’m sure you can figure something out.
This depends on how well you flush the soil. If you were to flush it to the point runoff ec/ppm/tds is low I would immediately follow up with a feeding around +/- 1.6 ec. You don’t want to have your plant sitting in completely stripped soil for a lengthy duration. And once you complete flush you won’t want to be feeding or watering again until the pots can dry out a little and allow some oxygen to the root ball. But if you run the flush and runoff ec is still pretty high I’d maybe run a little more water through to bring it down some and call it a day.
Thanks @dbrn32, appreciate it will do this asap. Will keep everyone posted.
See what an awesome bunch of Growmies we got here? I would have suggested the same thing , but it feels so much better when I get a 3-way concensus. Thank you so much , all those involved. Special shout-out to @kaptain3d . You are the Man.
Let me know how it works out @Cajunpapapump .
Happy Growing
Yes it’s so good brother to have so many good fellow growers that help out people cause I’m by far no way close level any of y’all are lol. We just grow enough for us lol. And I enjoy the challenge. Thanks everyone that’s helping. She looks lot better this morning but I did the sledgehammer lol brings me back to the 80’s song lol.
Guess we will see how it goes but only few leaves were discolored.
Hey @RightAway the blackberry moon rock how you have your temp set up, we had some bad luck and lost our home AC so we went with window units and don’t have ac in that room with tent so it was getting close to 90 but I have been Cajun engineering and got some ac with fan pushing to tent and it’s been staying around 80. But that’s with tent door open lol. But she’s starting to smell and even though I love the smell anyway lol. Just curious how high can you get and not affect her. Thanks for everyone’s help and been away for a year from here but missed it but looking forward to ready bunch yall stuff. Man @RightAway you got it going on in very impressed what a set up.
I bet she makes a great recovery Cajun. The flush was needed. I would follow the recommendations of the nute manufacturer the rest of the way. Obviously this ain’t their first rodeo.
The temps in the growroom have reached as high as 84° on this run. The summer is no time to grow indoors and it wasn’t in my plans for this summer but… You will be doing good to keep the temps as low as possible. In the winter its a whole lot easier to get cool air in. I like em getting COLD during mid- late flower. Its impossible this time of year. The cold really brings out the colors and , I think, trichome production.
The Blackberry Moonrocks is some crazy good smoke. The flavor is kushberry all the way. Very strong /high thc. I smoked some of the new crop with a buddy the other day. Its not cured at all, just dry enough to burn. After 2 hits he said , “Dam man this is like doing drugs.” I about fell outta my chair. Yeah its really strong.
I’m burning sulfur out in the garden tonight. It would work alot better in a greenhouse but it’s cheap to operate the burner and certainly won’t hurt anything at this stage of growth. PM is really hard to control over here and I’ve pulled out all the stops, at this point.
Thanks for your kind words on my setup. Its rather extensive as usual. I’ve got some trees going outside. This Apple Fritter is probably the most beautiful of all…
She’s about 10’. She grew this shape with little interference from me. I think she’s wonderful. Hope the smoke is as good as the plant is pretty. The buds are going to be humungo.
I’ve got to get some bud trimmed tonight. Can’t ever seem to get enough done in a days time.
Happy Growing
