Really? That’s weird. Is it cold enough where you are to freeze it? I would contact the seller and ask… was it from Shaman? If so, they get good customer service reviews.
Yes it’s been cold in the northeast. I reached out and I’ll see what they say.
From what I’ve been reading, freezing will kill the spores. Some say to put a drop on an agar dish and see if it grows… I don’t have any agar dishes so…
Maybe you can request them to send it in an insulated box or something like that.
My vote is they are still viable spores ![]()
Maybe not
The bulk substrate is penis envy The tote underneath is B+ this is like my first time going around having to start from scratch because I don’t know how to get them to pin Or even when’s the best time to introduce fruiting conditions I’m not gonna lie I watch YouTube videos which had me interested in trying to do it because it look so easy but I am about 5 syringes down And still haven’t produced anything anything at all could really use some help please
That bottom looks ready to fruit now. When I started I could grow beautiful myc but never could get fruits. Not even pins! Then I started misting and fan the ffff out of them and bingo!! Then I really got into the hobby ![]()
Ok so, I don’t know what the conditions are but they always need ambient lighting. Contrary to popular belief, don’t keep them in darkness. When the substrate is ready, you need to introduce at least 12 hours of lighting. I use. 4 bulb T5 but with only 2 bulbs and it is about 4-5 feet away.
When ready to pin, I prop the top of the lid slightly to let fresh air in… I also mist at least once a day with purified water focusing on the lid and sides of the tub. If it’s dry in your climate you may need to mist a couple of times a day.
What is the second pic? Is that a block that hasn’t t been introduced to a substrate?
I think your problem is environment. I keep mine in my grow tent now that I’m not growing anything but before I had them in my closet with the door open for the ambient lighting.
Also while you are waiting for the tub to colonize, don’t open the tote! Only perk through the lid!
Let me know if anything I mentioned is or is not what you are doing.
Oh yeah and once it starts pinning, I have a fan going. Right now it’s cold outside so unfortunately I have to have a heater going that is hooked up to an InkBird regulator
So I have to open it in fan at daily Bro I apologize so much for trying to get you to break it to detail for me but I am truthfully having a hard time this is my second all in one grow bag the first one was an epic failure this one I moved to the Mano tub and I can’t get it to start pinning is there a secret to it Or some thing that I can possibly be Doing wrong I haven’t the slightest clue but I know I can definitely use some help
Like i said it looks ready to fruit, looks really dry. Sparky it with water till it glistens and then use the lid to fan the shit out of it. A good solid 30-45 secs of swinging that lid. Your forcing evaporation which triggers pins. Once full of pins slow down a little on misting and fanning. But never let it dry up. If not droplets of water on the walls then it’s to dry
and Cali gave you some good pointers above. Follow those as well. Ambient light, air movement in the room.
Apologies but I don’t know if you seen my post I am a newbie at growing plants and trying to grow mushrooms I bought 3 5packs Of the best spore syringes and I’m five syringes down I really do not know what I am doing here it’s not as easy as they show it is on YouTube can I please get some help lol
At this rate I’m going I’ll be out of syringes before I produce a mushroom please any help would truly help please
Bro truthfully I’ve been Faning for days now and I’m not seeing not even a pin bro I’m so tired of this Hobby already I’ve already went through five spore syringes I can get them out at this point but pending and fruiting is a totally different story for me the crazy part is I still have about 10 spore syringes and I’m ready to just say forget it and throw in the towel when it comes to growing plants I was a newbie as well but I picked up on that one real fast but I give a special thanks to the person who has been helping me @OGIncognito But on this grow I have had no help at all I’m done every time I inoculate something it cost me money and the depressing part is I get not a pin to grow it is so frustrating i’m already to my point where I’m tired of trying each time I try it cost me a syringe plus whatever I decide to inoculate Whether it’s all in one grow bag or the BRF jars to try the PF tek I would be happy to even see one pin that would’ve had at least kept me intrigued but it’s no fun at all to completely fail
Is there anyway that you can offer me some help please I am a total newbie a this Dennis really losing hope and I thought I purchase some of their best strains and I’m so close to just tossing them because that’s all I’ve been doing slowly one by one anyway I’ll be alive if I say I’m not frustrated to the world right now but it is what it is that’s what I get for diving in the deep and not knowing how to swim Like I said I don’t have a problem getting the mycelium to grow I just don’t know what to do to get them To fruit
And that is what drives me crazy like I said I’m five syringes down and can truthfully get no help all Not sure if you’re able to but would you be able to help my brother out please
Told ya it looks dry, if it’s to dry no EVAP can happen. The fruiting chamber above has no water droplets showing, to dry. You said you can but what about misting?
You’re wrong they’re full with humidity
I have Pearllate at the bottom of The all in one grow bag my humidity and everything is awesome I even fan it daily but to answer your question I do mist
First off, I’m not trying to be rude, but I getting advice from 2 different people and the advice given are different, you’re just going to be confused.

[/quote].
You DO NOT fan and mist to force pinning. Once you get to that stage, you cover it and DO NOT peek until you see pins. So if you want to follow my advice and help,
please answer each one so I know how your process.
- Where did you get the bags?
- What is in the bags (ie, rye grain, wheat grain, popcorn, etc.)? And how large are those bags (1 gal, 2 gal, etc)
- What was your process to inoculate the bags (oven door method, still air box, etc…)
- Once inoculated, where do you put the bags to let the mycelium grow (cabinet, the back of your tv, etc…)
- How much light and temperature were the bags exposed to?
- Did you ever break up the mycelium once it looked 2/3 to 3/4 colonized?
NEXT - Questions on moving the mycelium to a mono-tub
- Where did you get the substrate?
- What is in the substrate (if you know)
- Did you do a field test of the substrate to make sure it had the right amount of moisture in it (you take a handful of the substrate, squeeze it and only a few drops of water should come out)?
- How much substrate did you use for one bag?
- Did you layer the grain spawn 3-4 times with the substrate?
I’ll have more questions once you answer those (looks like you’re replying to stonecold right now)… sorry @StonedCold13, you need to know what has been done before you can throw out advice… just like growing pot…
Dude, you can do this, please just let me help. Do you have an IG account? We can private message there if you would rather.
@Kilo1 please watch the F bombs and take a glance at the forum rules. I edited one of your posts this morning but this one had several and I deleted it
My bad ma’am, I seen a dried out lump and trying to help.
Like growing pot there is many ways to get to the finish line. I have many
pounds under my belt aNd just trying to help. And depending on your environment you may have to mist and fan fill harvest. Been there too
