I know. I really really wasnāt trying to expose any secrets. I had legit concerns about being entrapped in some kind of sting. I asked for the the whole thread to be deleted but I guess I committed no fowl. As I said,everything is ok.

I believe I gave suitable edits where needed. I understood why you posted and donāt blame you for asking. It was just getting a little too detailed in my opinion. I know one of those seed banks uses the same method regularly. Itās the same reason we donāt allow pictures of ilgm shipping/packaging. Itās not good for the industry or us as customers. In certain context could almost be considered slander against competitors.
I will give it another look over and leave it up. Just so other members know itās not uncommon.
I would say the fact that you had to pick up is a little odd. Especially with all the stuff going on. That would be only potential red flag for me. But I have seen the method youāre talking about used before.

Thatās why Iām really being cautious ordering seeds Iām a little paranoid now doing it since you posted this tread forum there are way to many scammers now you canāt trust anybody anymore and thatās Sad scary probably a fake seed bank
I will just have to be careful really because buying seeds are pretty darn exspensive if I donāt get what I ordered or thy are wrong not right kind it will set me back alot

N mine simply came in a Manila envelope insulated with bubble wrap with the little tiny bags of seeds just in there and nothing else Iāve made two purchases through same companyā¦although I gotta say I like several of the ilgm mix packs, one of these are most likely my next purchase to be honestā¦I know customs isnt gonna track u down or even push the issue any further than confiscating the product shld they find it, n even growing in illegal states (my state anyway) as long as u arnt running ur mouth or tryna be a drug dealer no one is kicking in ur door, theres no anti-marijana growing task force for closet growers lol for the most part from what I can gather as long as u keep what u grow for yourself and to yourself and not trying to have a commercial operation goin then no one really gives a hoot, even in my state I think possession up to 4 oz u dont even get arrested, u just get a court date then a fine

Chances are your seeds in envelope came from within US.

So ppl have shown up at there houses after there seeds were found by customs? Thatās what Iām saying lol a letter sometimes a fone call but nothing follows other than them just taking ur stuff n letting u know that they took it, at least from the research i did bc Iām a paranoid bastard, so I had to feel pretty safe b4 I ordered online

Thatās what Iām saying lol, that they dont do that, that was my entire point, no one cares enough to do anything other than intercept your orderā¦they dont really care, u just lose ur order n most seed banks will replace it, like Iām pretty sure ilgm will replace ur order in this exact scenario, and if Iām not mistaken ilgm dosenāt mail directly to your address they mail to there u.s. office then from there the u.s. office mails to ur house, is this correct?
I wouldnāt comment on what ilgm does or doesnāt do.
Nobody tried to insinuate that your house was going to get raided if your seeds were confiscated. But you can bet your behind that your name and address hit a list. Just because nobody is doing anything about it now doesnāt mean it will always stay that way.
More importantly, it goes to interrupt the buyers process. Ilgm wonāt resend an order until 30 business days after ship date. Depending on how long processing time is, youāre looking at 6-7 weeks from original order date. And thatās just to restart the process over. Iām not waiting 2 months for seeds, especially not because people who didnāt know any better were careless. Also, in my experience itās not the norm for seed banks to guarentee shipping. Ilgm does, but takes forever as posted above. Iāve seen a couple do it if you pay extra, but I wouldnāt say they all do, or even most.
This all comes down to perspective. We donāt allow members to post our shipping packages, so Iām not gonna have anyone posting any other companies either. Maybe bigger deal to some than others, I donāt care. In terms OP, was just looking for some help and I canāt fault that. But if you want to be careless or lackadaisical youāll have to do it on someone elseās watch.

My original concern was mainly the fact that UPS sent me an email saying I would have to come to the UPS store to pick up the package, I donāt know of anyone getting entrapped like this but with my luck I would be the 1st. I think the whole thread has gotten blow out of proportion.

So with that being said, its better to avoid seed banks from outside the u.s. to avoid customs all together is sounding like my best bet?..lol now I gotta do more research and reorganize my compiled list of favored seed banks lol

I will add a little twist to this madness. The reason I even went to this particular seed bank is because I couldnāt find the seeds I wanted anywhere else. I wanted to plant a Humble Pie garden. Nepalese,Lebanese, and some Durban Poison. No one else had the Nepal or Lebanese. Oh,listen to the song 30 days in the hole by Humble Pie and you will understand my quest.
