I can’t wait to add them to my new tent.

Lights seem to be doing great during Veg. I didn’t really keep close track of second grow under Budget led lights so hard to make a comparison. Hopefully I will be able to make some comparisons of lights when I go to flower and the end results of bud development.

In the end it’s all about the bud development and that is where the light truly shows that it was worth every last penny!

If you have read through my journal you see that I have been working a lot of hrs. So I have to try to balance my grow so I can accomplish as much as possible in the shortest period of time. That’s why I was so disappointed in my first grow and overall quality of buds. Put a lot of effort in didn’t get much return.

Work and grow and family oh yes its gonna be a hard balance for me as well, I can only imagine some of the challenges I will face but it’s all part of the adventure

Going to add this to my legit setup

I’ve got my setup at the level that allows me to keep everything under control. I can retire in a couple of years, i’ll have more time to really expand grow space and start more advanced grows.

Your setup seems to be working great. Keep doing what your doing your babies are happy and healthy and that’s what matters

Retirement… what is that. If I was to retire at 65 in 20 yrs I’d be thrilled…I didn’t even start my 401K until 40. Maybe I’m unwittingly growing my retirement… LoL

I’m one of a dying breed. I Actually get a pension. I’m in Automotive industry. I’m what they refer to as Legacy employee aka Oldtimer. A couple of contracts ago they did away with pension for new employees. I’ve got a little bit in tax exempt savings plan, probably not enough. Will have 30 years in. The oldtimers told me back then I had just became a prostitute. I was like WTH are you talking about. They told me I would make good money, but I’d be selling my body to do it. LOL They weren’t wrong. I have a lot of pain every day. But I have made a decent living and was able to raise and take good care of family.

@Bulldognuts we all have those grows… I lost 4 monster plants to mould last summer… Sucked 90% of my harvest was gone.

At least you get a pension and are able to go home every night.
I travel between 700-1000km to go to work and have spent the last 12 years pushing myself to work as long as possible (between 21-76 days straight for 12-16hr a day) then take a week off at home. I take some time off here and there in the summer but I finally decided to take this last summer off to reflect on wtf I’ve been doing. Now I work 21 days max in the winter and try to stick to 14 days give or take in the summer with a week off. Need a better work life balance.

I mean I have traveled and gone to alot of music festivals and party’s, bought a 2010 subaru wrx new off the lot and paid it off bought a 50k renovated mobile home last year and I’m a paramedic but our wages suck that’s why I need to work the hours.
Ugh I’m 32 and scared I’ll be working my whole life I have nothing saved, been putting myself through online university because I’m maxed out as a paramedic in the oil and gas industry.
Life’s so expensive in Canada it’s crazy I make 400$-500$ a day and I don’t know how other people survive… Probably loads of debt.
In 3 years my girlfriend gets out of nursing so hopefully we then can start to get ahead as a duel income no kids couple.
September is my last mortage payment so then I just pay a 600$ a month lot fee, hoping then I can start saving/ investing.

A pension and benefits… My God I wish I’m contracted day to day so they can just release me when ever they want

Absolutely. I hear you, I count my blessings every day. I complain about hrs, but I’ve never forgotten the fact that the company I work for has provided me and family a pretty good life. Even with the injuries sustained over the years I go in every day and give 100%. I see the issues that my wife has had, and I realize how I’ve been able to do most of the things I want to do. She on the other hand can’t even do yard work that she’s loves and considered mental therapy. I’ve seen some of the stories on FORUM of people’s illnesses and realize that to be able to do everyday things that I take for granted is a blessing.

Yeah you definitely see a fair chunk of people who have very very limited budgets and just trying to grow some medicine to help with their major health issues.
Probably why I will never sell my setup even if it sits dormant for 5 years I’ll hold onto it because I know at the very least I could grow if something happens to me and I’ve already invested in essentially 3 setups, 4x2 with QB’s and controllers +3x3 with QB’s and controllers + 1x3x6 for my duel shelf veg area that has those 200w CFL’s in each rack. That’s thousands of dollars when you add all the little stuff in to think I’m at like 5k because of being stupid for the first little bit.

Your right though to have your health and freedom seems like nothing until you loose it so we take it for such granted at times.
To not have disabilities insurance or benefit really bites right now though I don’t like working in what I do with only basic government health coverage but it is what it is for now until the wifey graduates and puts me on her government benefits :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: that will be amazing.

I did the math last month I think and I would need to grow 24 plants to keep up with my wage, that’s a pretty big space and I only have lighting for maybe 6 in flower 4 in veg… So 1/4 of that!

OK folks I did some gardening Saturday. Finished up defoliation. All of girls numbers are still 2000 ppms and up. PH out are mostly 6.2 . Had one that was 5.9 Decided to hang Budget led light over the stubborn lady and give her some individual attention. That also frees up some space for other 6. I’ve decided to go ahead and flip to flower. Will reset timers Sunday once lights come on.

Out of likes still. But looking good. I spent 1/2 my day yesterday in the garden as well… One of my favorite places to be. Hopefully that light will boost her up!

Yeah, I saw your post about it. Got to take care of the ladies right.

Yes she’s as healthy looking as can be. Just will not grow. Leaves are dark but healthy. It will be interesting to see what she does going to flower. Hopefully she’ll shoot up out produce all of them. LOL.
