That was very informative. I think it should be pinned under LED lights as “Watch this before you buy any LED lights”.

I do not use LED and do not ever plan to. I am glad to see some of the members and MacG gave you guidance. I was just making sure that you got some answers. I can advise you on anything else but, please leave me out of LED discussions. Peace
They will still make great veg lights or even seedlings and they only use just over 100w and you can make your own if you are handy with that sort of thing using the frame of these lights and just add some cob LED modules but keep the heat sinks and power supplies.
A friend of mine imports house hold LEDs and I have rigged my sheds with them all running at 12v using solar and a 100ah glass mat gel battery so I am a bit of an LED fan. lol pun
I have been following a guy making custom LEDs and I may order one from him soon.
Look up “grow pot cheaply” on youtube he is alittle full on but this lights look good.
They will go in the closet veg room. I ordered a 600w hid. I will use that in half the tent and get another down the road for the other half. Gonna do a 4x4 WW fem Scrog as soon as these are harvested. If that goes well I will do a 4x8. Baby’s steps…
Don’t feel bad, I bought one of those pieces of crap also! I should know better being that I have grown by L.E.D.'s for about 2.5 years now and have been pleased with my returns. I bought the King 1200 watt? So I guess mine is equal to maybe a 450 watt? The damn thing is very bright, that’s all I can say right now. I will see if it is any good for veg. And call it a day. I have wasted two hundred before but, next month is over two weeks away! That’s when my check comes in and I can get a small ( toy ) for myself! He! He! My last purchase for myself was the Advanced Platinum p600 in April. I bought 2 for my 4x4 area. I have yet to finish a grow with them yet as I just got them up in May. My MK-ultra auto is just about ready and put on considerable weight under the p600 by Advanced. Got to go gang. Later, Mike
If you can get it close enough to it will do the job just over a smaller area than you expected. My two cover a 2x3 area.

Thank you for posting that! I’m so glad I watched it. It’s sad that we have companies out there trying to rip us off so badly and sell us unsafe fixtures. I’ll buy Mars Hydro when I finally do buy LED. Cheapest lights but best quality I’ve seen.

I’m a beginner with 1 week old seedlings and I’m very nervous about the 104F temps in my tent, but its encouraging to see these beauties doing so well in that kind of heat!
I try not to let them get over 85. I have a portable ac unit on wheels I am pointing at the room and can move fully into the room if need be. With that I can keep both me and the plants from overheating I hope

Try to get that temp down, 104 is way too high for seedlings.

Freeze some gallon jugs and rotate them as they thaw. You have a handle on your temp, but may help save energy costs.
