Budwashing will make your end product so much smoother and since the trichs are oil based you don’t have to worry about the water “rinsing” them away. I wash every plant I grow.
Sorry one other quick and random question. What humidity are you usually in during the process? I’ve been going lower and lower on humidity in the tent during flower and it may not matter but feels like theoretically higher humidity around the flower just before and while dunking could maybe make trichomes slightly less brittle. Sorry I’m an anxious OCD super nerd new to gardening so just want to make sure I don’t make a silly mistake and probably over thinking it.
You couldn’t be more wrong, in my case.
No hair clogged drains for 20 years, until I got married.
Yes to bud washing. I wash all outdoor weed.
Indoor weed, can benefit, too.
I can’t control RH (or temp) when drying.
Just find the best location and nurture.
I hang the buds and will brown paper bag (sweating) or jar and burp, often.
Higher humidity during drying: around 60% at 65F is ideal. But like others stated: you often have to work with what you have, not what is ideal. Keep a close eye on it and you can slow down drying by using a paper grocery bag to dry flower along with plastic totes. Having a supply of cheap RH meters is also helpful.
Hahaha maybe nose hairs then
Nice, my basement sits right around that naturally. I’ll probably back off on the dehumidifier for a day before processing and should be good to go.
Thanks all!!!
