Absolute beginner here. Just wanted to say Hi and I have no idea how you all do this. Eager to learn and would love there to be a day I harvest my own 1st grow.
I have ordered feminised seeds, a cheese strain. That’s as far as I have got so far. Trying to work out where to go from here. Think I will be growing indoors but trying to learn about everything is mind boggling.

Hi Boiler guy. I have literally nothing yet. I’m in north wales so usually raining. I have space in an under stairs cupboard or a spare room that has sun most of the day. I’m not looking to have a farm, just enough that I don’t run out often. I was advised to get soil you could grow fruit with and never use miracle grow, baby bio type stuff.
I don’t really have a private enough garden to grow outside. I do have a shed also that has electric points so I guess could be a possibility.
Like @BoilerGuy said lets know what you want or need to know. the one thing i can personally say is get the BEST light you can afford it will make the world of difference in your grow. Ask me how i know LOL
I have a bit of money saved so can invest. I have been thrown with all the talk of ventilation and air flow. Sounds so complicated and scary.

Ok great, so then you have to be honest with yourself. Where do you want to grow, that gives your plants a safe and stable place to thrive?
You bring up another thing to be thought about, ventilation. Ventilation is a must to maintain proper temperatures and fresh supply of air.
When i started i was scared to. but i asked a lot of questions About lights,soil,fertilizers. My first grow i got about 8 grams (poor lighting) my last auto i got almost 4 oz off a auto.
Have you considered a grow tent? They come in different sizes i have a 3x3x6 tent i grow 2 autos in ( you can grow 4 in it ). i have a 4 inch exhaust fan to remove excess heat from it. You will need to get a PH pen and a TDS pen Check Amazon. There is a grower on here from the UK. let me see if i can find him.
I’ve seen others on here who grow in cupboards with lights and vents and not much else. Is that feesible? One said they grow 3 plants at a time. This is a rented house I am in so I need to try and be discreet really. I keep frightening myself and putting myself off about being caught. Hence my indecisiveness

Yeah so @Buddylove I’m sure it’s feasible but how realistic is it. How big are these cupboards?

Why not the spare room? How big is it? Windows? Electrical outlet? Or are we completely relying on the sun?
Honestly, I was in the same boat until me and my wife bought our first house recently. I wouldn’t be comfortable advising you to grow in a house someone else can legally enter without your consent. But if your ok with the risk…

I might suggest a bit of patience on cracking your seeds. Lets get you set up first.
To be realistic with your goals, we should ask you how much cannabis you need to be happy? Do you smoke an ounce a week? A day? A year? Do you want to gift or sell your cannabis to pay for your costs?
What type of cannabis do you prefer? Sativa? Afghanica? Indica?
What budget do you have to play with? I see you have some money saved up…
One important note… do not buy a blurple light off Amazon, you will be sorely disappointed with the performance.
Once you answer these fairly basic questions we can move on to space requirements and environmental control.
