So while I’m waiting on these girls to dry so I can rearrange the set-up in the closet, im having problems selecting which bud I want to enter in BOM contest. So to help, I’m asking for help again, so I made a poll that you can make up to 2 choices, and any votes are super helpful.

Excellent work grow bro! Congrats on a well earned first harvest! You should be proud of yourself. Many new growers dont make it to harvest on their first grow. The reality here is that not everyone can do this. You can though! Well done!

Checked on the girls this morning drying, and the moisture meter was reading 10-13% on all of the buds I tested. Placed them in brown paper bags to sweat out a little more before trim jail tonight. Was going to wait until tomorrow, but my parents are coming in town. The benefits of living at the beach are that everyone comes and visits. If it was just my pops, he would sit out there with me and trim, but my mom is coming as well. So that wouldn’t go over the best. Lol
I’m actually looking forward to trimming, it actually calmed me when I was trimming the wet and the neighbors plant. Going to need the run the carbon filters while I trim as well because these girls are loud.
3 days is awful quick for a dry. What kind of drying environment are you in? It takes 10-14 days to dry weed propper. Its not something you want to speed along either.
Yeah, that’s what I thought. 70-74° and 57-59% rh. I couldn’t get temps lower, but I’m pretty sure I had my exhaust fan too high. Exhaust was on 3. I also noticed my lower fan had disconnected from the cable and had been running on 10, and I had my other fans running on 1.
So I had too much air movement. Ugh lesson learned.
The buds I quick, well quicker dried in the spare tent, got put into grove bag yesterday and has been sitting at 57-59% rh for almost 20 hours, and they taste amazing. I’m sure if I would have dried slower it would be even better. Still the best tasting stuff I have had in almost a year, and it hasn’t even cured.
That will do it! Good on ya for knowing what went south though. Before you bag em make sure the stem is dry too.
Yeah, as soon as I saw the reading on the meter, I started looking into why. On the smaller ones that went into the grove bag, I was able to snap the stem, and it made a good crack.
I used to have a dealer that would bring me stuff that wasn’t properly dry or cured, so I had to do it myself, which I never knew was something until he gave me a bag that smelled like hey. So, I learned to cure before I learned to grow. Lol
