Matter of fact, I bet those bastards would lick the piss right off the plant while they eat it!
@Cannabian Yeah I have long been of the mind that urine does not scare them away. I drink alot of coffee in the mornings. Pissed right out of my tree stand and put an arrow right though a see 30 mins later standing there smelling it.
Wow. That’s a new one on me. We only have white tails around here. If our deer were as bold as yours we would eat a LOT more venison. We stuff a rag into a bottle of coyote urine like a Molotov cocktail. I’ve seen deer skirt a 90 acre field of freshly turned peanuts to avoid a hand full of those bottles. Wild hogs though. They don’t give a rats ass about coyotes.
Yep thats more or less how I grow my weed. I have 2 kinds planted in the greenhouse this year, Balkhi which is an Afghani landrace, and Johaar which is a Himalayan landrace. Not sure if landrace is really accurate because they are grown by humans in a crop. Lets call them old school! The johaar is a sativa and will need the greenhouse to finish. Its over 6 feet tall now. These pics are a couple weeks old now
fortunately we dont have wild hogs up here, but the deer are food agressive! You can stand in the garden and they will stare at you waiting for you to leave. They chased my dog down a few times!
Here is something I know all to well! I will tag long for your grow. Before this i door tent grow all I ever knew was ourdoor. Best of luck. Honestly the things grow themselves just need us to babysit lol. Any infestations ladybufs are your friend. If rhere is food on tour plant hurting it ladybugs will clear it up fast. Savage little monsters.
If I were allowed entry into Canada, I could help you out with that deer problem! My wife and I have contemplated emigrating to Canada. Unfortunately, my “criminal” history prevents that from happening. In what part of Canada do you live? We are from the DEEP South and are just downright sick of the 100 degree heat index in May. It’s 85% humidity right now at our place!
They got some big boys up there.
I hatch one egg case at a time in the bag provided, the others I keep in a cool place to keep from hatching.
If I put the egg cases outside, ants raid them.

Arbico Organics also sells them.
@anon89489555 glad to have ya. I have used lady bugs before especially in the green house, they tend to stay around a bit longer. Took me a little time to learn to release them at night outdoors to keep them around longer.
@AAA top notch, thanks bud.
Welcome!
Getting ready to calibrate my new ph meter, do I want 0.1 or 0.01? Might be a dumb question.
Another question, try not to make this a habit. Obviously short on time with my photos. Reason for wanting to get them outside asap. Starting them under lights hoping to only be there maybe 10 days then outside they go. Using LED t5 tubes 3000lm 4000k because that’s what I have. Use 17 of them for my vegetable starts each year. Now I’m sure of one thing. I’ll have to keep these just a few inches above the plants so they dont get leggy. But because of the height restrictions I cant dome them. Is this a problem or can just an extra spritz of water help?
They will be fine with occasional misting?
I actually grabbed a bunch of them and fed and watered a ecosystem for the ladybugs kept them all winter long. They eat honey mixed with water. They bred as well was an experience but served me well as I had a bad infestation and the ladies chewed it up lol
@Bow4Buck. While I realize it’s best to dome seedlings, I did not. I started them in Dixie cups full of fox farms happy frog. I misted a couple times a day and they turned out just fine. That was under a 260w led at that.
Day 2
All 10 gold leaf up today and looking fine. Got one still wearing a cap but looks like it’s going to push it off. Still nothing yet on the first 12 gorilla glue autos. Of the 8 seeds that didnt sprout in water, after putting them on plate and paper towel got another 5 in cups today. The remaining 3 nothing but added more water to them and let it ride. At $10 a seed I figured might as well try.
Do these look right at this point? Just from scanning these forums every day, see many pics with fat healthy growth fast. They been up for about 48rhs now and just seem to not be growing. Have them in Pro Mix no nutes yet. Was planning on start fish emulsion once outside but now have FF nutes should be here Monday. Was keeping the t5 tubes a couple inches above the plant so not to let them get leggy, adjusted height a few more inches this morning. Waiting on phup phdown to get here been misting twice a day with 50-50 purified spring water and distilled water ph right at 6.8. Ppm a tad over 1650. They have been very dry as to try not to over water. Last night watered 3oz. Each to see if there is a difference and shouldn’t need water again until nutes get here. Thinking if I left anything out. Ahhh, been able.to keep temps right around 75 humidity been mid to upper 40’s rained last night humidity spiked today to 66 cranked the ac up to lower that but droppet the temps too a bit. Any suggestions or just ride it out and I’m expecting to much to soon?
