I had to make one remark about the diminishing life of Floridian’s. It’s very true, yet the more the idiots come the more I go into the, "Big Cupress/Gulfstream waters. Thanks again to all
@S.FloridaSwampman i for one was not offended
I was also raised to respect others even when they don’t respect you
In fact i like the fact we are all different and when you change regions culture changes with it
As I stated above im a hick a CT yanknee to be exact
I now live in NY state have chickens and all that going on hahaha
How boring would life be if we where all the same
I think experiencing different cultures is what make this country great a few hundred miles makes a difference
Thanks @S.FloridaSwampman hopefully there is enough room for all of us! I hope to claim a small piece of the panhandle someday!
Well, I have my acreage in the panhandle. Not alot but enough for me. I used to farm on about 500 acres. Big difference from that. I am just a countryboy and like other countryboys…dont wanna be messed with and just want to live my own life. I just wish our gov would get it through their head that all we want is freedom to live our lives.
I hope you do move down because it’s truly paradise during the Fall, Winter, and Spring. The Summer is very grueling with Real Feel over 100° daily, and 100% humidity. I never mind people moving to Florida, yet we get quite often Animals dressed as Humans. Furthermore, it takes me a little while sometimes to figure it out. I appreciate your experience, feedback, and most importantly your cool demeanor.

I apologize for not responding sooner, but you can get them your home/art stores in the floral arrangements section. I prefer the red this time of year because it resembles the Poinsetta. I use the cloth type with green plastic links connecting them in a circle. The link cut in the bottom center becomes a soft, yet reliable clamp that holds to wind/doesn’t harm the groth of bud. I periodically move them around, so it doesn’t inhibit light. I wouldn’t use plastic because it emits a shine/glimmer that can give one away to L.E.O.'s. including preying eyes of nogooders. Have a good day, and I am happy you liked it, and didn’t knock it. We have several jet birds, Coast Guard, ect. all looking to find, report, and get Brownie Buttons after the raid.
I too know all the old families down here, and we probably went to the same event/parties. A lot came in from the Sea, yet it flowed in through the Glades/airboat too!!! You are folowing my background, so I need not type. I am sorry if I offended you with my prior retort, yet many times people make hasty generalisations. Take care…
I promise not to take up any more of your time, but I asked this question
to no avail except two likes to picture. I am wondering why the pics of
Durban Poison of other grows look different? Forgive my stupidity, yet I
thought it was a pure sativa. I have looked at several others grow;
however, they look to have indica in them.
DP is a pure Sativa. That’s not to say they were never cross bred. It’s possible that the DP in the pics you are referring to may have been crossed? I dunno, speculation at this point without talking to the other growers.
I don’t know that the history of all of the different strains was tracked all that well in years past as well. Hard to say @S.FloridaSwampman
@S.FloridaSwampman I love the country down here. Not so fond of the summers. The rest of the years is great though. I really enjoy the fishing. Loved it ever since the first time I went in the gulf about 14 years ago.
Going to try an outdoor grow this spring for sure, and maybe put out a few auto’s next month and see how they do where I am at. Thinking of the blueberry auto’s. I have 2 acres here but its hard finding a corner of the yard that the neighbors dont have a good view of. Why I liked your plant with the flowers on it. Good way of disguising it. My immediate next door neighbor is one of those that sees everything going on and thinks he runs the neighborhood.
On the other side of my place is an lot with only a garage, no house. But the nosy neighbor has taken it on himself to cut the grass on that 2 acre lot and cuts across my place to get to it. That kind of neighbor as I say. Starting to get really irritated at the guy. Dont want a feud with him so not sure how to handle him. Would be disasterous for any grow I put out.
I like what you wrote, and maybe I can help with your neighborhood Gestapo. There are several solutions, yet it should work at minimal cost I am thinking. One Idea is in the back center of the lot install one of the Harbor freight one small car garage tent or dig holes w/tool 8’ apart, and scwer the cheap wood paneling. I am sure there are many variables, so the primary concern in the blind is to face it with the side walls facing north on one side & south on the other. No matter what time of Year you grow your covered. What vicinity of Florida do you live in? For example, Panhandle, Treasure Coast, ect; therefore we can discuss grow options. Buds during the summer months are ok, yet bringing them in every day to give them enough dark can be a pain at times when it’s 14 + hrs light that’s increasing. This year I am not going to the trouble, yet with modern technology I love trying alk the variety. I have grown smoked the same stuff since I brought back seeds of Wahacan Colas till recently. I have a question for you too, so I was wondering what do you recommend for me to order and it grows fast. I was thinking Purple Haze & more Durban Poison. I have not smoked it; however, it grows very fast with nice buds. Any feed back from you would be great. Furthermore, any questions feel free to contact me anytime. Respectfully, S.FL.SWAPMAN
I forgot to mention that the Dr.s had me on heavy pain meds, and now I am able to get by on half. I completely gave up my monthly script of #90 Dilaudid 8mg per month. Now, I only take time release opioids. Conclusion, it helped me very much
with pain management & Mental cognition. Good luck
@S.FloridaSwampman thanks for the reply and that is a good idea about the garage. Could help keep the guy out, cept he is so nosy that it wouldnt surprise me to see him walk over to look in. He even called the, errrr…gov folks that handle taxing and such…anyway, our neighbor across the road is a cool guy. Is a contractor. He is living in a camper right now and building her own place/house. Was an old garage that he is converting. Once it is done he is going to move in, get rid of the camper and build a house in place of the camper. Anyway, the gestopo guy thought he couldnt live in a camper on his place. Called the gov folks…he found out that is was permitted since he was building a perm home.
So he thinks he can run the neigborhood.
Oh, am up in the panhandle but more center. Love the area here. Nice folks for the most part. We get alot of folks come down here from Alabama to vacation. For some reason alot of them are real as* hol*s. Could just be they are vacationing and dont care much. We helped run a campground and the worst folks were those from bama. Just strange. Alot of good folks up there. So not blasting the state in general.
As to the variety you want to grow…dont know what would work for ya. I just started growing mj this year. On my second grow though I havent quite finished the first one yet. Growin in my larger tent, 3 plants. An OG Kush, a Gold Leaf, and a White Widow. The WW is a tough one to grow for me. Do any little thing wrong and it goes out of wack. The others just grow with few if any problems. They are all in their 2nd week of flower. Ben along 3 months.
The small tent I have some bag seed growing. Dont know what kind it is but it grows well and has few problems. Or just could be I got more experience. Regardless they are good looking plants. Got some clones I took off the Gold Leaf from the big tent in there with the bag seed growing now. Got them all on 14/10 sched now. The bag seed are 5 weeks old. This tent is just an experiment really. Trying different things out. So my experience with the kinds of weed is limited other than what i have read and seen here on the forum.
I been on high dose pain meds for about 7 years now. Ascodeene, percondan, morphine, etc. I hope to be able to get off or at least cut my use of the ophoids using the mj. I hate the pain meds and would gladly stop taking then if I could.
Will talk atcha more later. Gotta go for now…this post is long enough.
Good Morning, I would start thinking what kind of blind & excuse, so your neighborhood’s Natzi/Gestapo will come over on his own accord. When he sticks his beek in give him a show, so he sees visual stimulus that will match your MO. For example, prior to installing Blind/tent tell him you are thinking about restoring old wood furniture to make some side money/stress release. Install $89 tent from Harbor freight, put old piece of furniture, and make a hell of a lot of noise when Hitler is Home. He will lose control between the ego, id, and super ego eventually coming to see your show. Have part of it sanded, so it sells. Do this periodically till his curiosities run elsewhere. Secondly, It will give you time for your grow. In addition, I would prep something to stain/paint when the Clown is pacing around put a little on. When he comes over let him stick his nose in to smell. After that, you should act like you are done with that particular section closing it up tight. Make a statement about dust, and emphasize not opening ever while curing. He will find something else, yet go out as much as possible when the Natzi is out to shop, eat, ect. On a different noteI’m quite sure weed will help lower your dose of pain meds. You wrote it, and it’s very true. I hate the opiod treatment, and having to take the crap every day. In conclusion, I take half the pain meds, and I am still breathing. I guess I am still lucky to some extent. Have a good day, I have to work. P.S. I just ordered Purple Haze, so I can harvest before summer.
