That’s what is hanging harvested, it’s the blueberry I have left to harvest
Oh ok. I was confused my bad
Lol no worries bro, I know the white widow doesn’t look like it’s finished but I had to harvest due to mold
@Screwauger you have a lot of experience so I look to you for advice and help, can you tell me how you cure yours after you’ve dried it
Not a ton of experience. I’ve had two grows and messed up the dry/cure on the first grow. I dried it too fast and was too quick to go into jars.
This grow I followed the advice of @Willd and @Donaldj
I chopped the plant in “branches” (like you have) and hung them in a dark cool area for 3 days.
After three days hang, I snipped all of the flowers off the large stems (into buds no larger than golf balls).
These went into paper bags, a single layer on the bottom of the bag.
For one plant I typically had 4-5 bags o buds.
I jostled and gently moved them around everyday until slightly “crispy” when gently squeezed. Approx 5 days but being winter here our RH in the house is 27-30% so your results may very.
Then it was trial and error (into jars with hygrometer and monitor closely for the RH and the trend [is the RH climbing or falling]).
Burping often or even dumping out of jars for 30 minutes at a time for extra drying.
Once stable at or near 62% in the jars, less burping (1-2x day) decreasing the burping as the RH stabilizes
This method has produced tasty aromatic buds for me.
Thanks my brother, that’s a little different to me as I dry for about 7 to 10 days but as the small one’s are drying I snip them off and put them in the hanging herb dryer until it’s all dry, then jar and burp 15 minutes at a time 3 times a day to start then reducing down over 2 weeks and then your supposed to be done but it’s not leaving it particularly smelly weed bro
Drying in the fashion @Screwauger described allows the moisture in the bigger buds to help hold RH for the buds drying faster since paper will slightly confine humidity while still releasing it at a fairly controlled rate. Being a paper bag airflow is limited unlike a variable humidity in a room which can be hard to hold RH in and pulls moisture faster the paper bag having less air volume also keeps terpins around buds rather than having them pulled away with airflow
Oh yeah, that’s cool, so that’s why it keeps it’s strong smell that way, so I definitely need paper bags then, thanks @Donaldj I appreciate that ,so tell me please what’s your complete drying and curing method that you do @Donaldj
It varies with my RH but is pretty much same as @Screwauger explained above
Ok thanks, I will definitely try that this time
Update for everyone the total tally is 5 jars of white widow and 5 jars of blueberry, don’t have to a weight yet but as soon as I do I’ll get back to everyone with that but 10 jars after all the mold I had to cut out is an awsum yeild, 10 jars with out the mold would be good for 2 plant’s so I’m very happy with that, until I started growing i never knew how much green it would take to fill 1 ,I thought at the time must be like 10 oz, where as closer to the truth is a little over 2 oz to fill a jar, so looking at at least an ounce and a half per jar so it’s got to be at least 15 oz, which ain’t half bad is it

Friday already… Again…
Brake man is fast asleep on the job as the divide between the future, present and the past widens & accelerates it’s already fleeting pace. Stop & smell the roses. Break up some weed by hand & smell your fingers!
Have a great day. Congrats @Screwauger.
Awesome to hear/read this @daz49 Nice Job.
