Thanks for that nice listing!

I wouldn’t use any liquor with added coloring, such as the 151.

Doh. It turns out that Bacardi 151 was discontinued, so no worries about the color in it!

That 3.25 oz went into how much Everclear? You decarbed, first?

Green Dragon is what it looks like you made. Perfectly fine stuff, but very basic. It’s more alcohol than weed, at this point, so sublingual dosing is safetest
and extremely painful. :grinning: Probably .5ml under the tongue for 30 seconds will do you. It burns terribly.

If you evaporate it down by half, your tincture will be more concentrated. The alcohol decrease will allow you to safely ingest it, too; probably 3ml-5ml per dose. Sublingually, you could probably decrease it to 15 or so drops.

I am not familiar with the exact method you used, so I can’t really give you any pointers to improve it.

I made chocolates with weed infused ghee last weekend using your instapot directions for the infusion. Couldn’t be easier!

I make strong stuff for myself. Again, whatever method you’re using, if it’s requiring you to heat your herb/ethanol during a wash, it is not a recipe I would ever even bother to look at. You do not need to apply heat (except to decarb), nor do you need to soak your herb longer than an hour or 2, MAX.

I have offered very detailed info in this thread about making a QWET. As I wrote in the intro post, this thread is to discuss recipes and methods I recommend; it’s not a general edibles thread. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE METHOD YOU’RE USING.

Nice! Have you taken one for a test drive, yet?

There is no heating at all
none whatsoever. This recipe is from Bergman’s Lab.

Ah, when you said pull the plug, I took that literally.

Again, I do not know their method, but if they’re having you soak the weed for up to 10 days, that’s not a good method. Everything you want is in the resin glands. You’re not interested in chloraphyll, waxes, and other junk from the plant. An hour soak, strain, then a quick rinse of the herb, then strain, and boom, you’re good.

@blackthumbbetty So just strain it and let it evaporate? How long would you think?

At least a day or 2, though possibly more.

I can be very persistent, myself. :grinning:

I had started gathering all my recipes, but got overwhelmed at the thought of rewriting them all at once. So, I’m going to do a couple per week, I think. Works best for my brain. If, along way, this thread needs to be cleaned up a bit here and there, some cleaning will be done.

Kitchens get messy. Trash needs taken out, walls need a good wipe down. It happens. :grinning:
