Bionova Missing Link foliar spray too acidic?

Hi all! I just FIMmed my plants and rememberd I got a bottle of the Missing Link.

It’s supposed to lower the stress levels of the plants. When I mixed it with water the pH is around 3,5… can I spay it onto my girls? I see no info on this from the manufacutrer. Or should I use pH-up before spraying?

Thanks!

Looks like the bottle suggests using it as a soil drench. I would probably stick with that.

@dbrn32 That too but also foliar spray. I was talking with them at Spannabis and the lady did recommend it as foliar spray…

Did some digging and found this

So I suppose it’s acidic on purpose.

I don’t spray my plants with anything unless absolutely necessary. And that would be for treatment of bugs not feeding. So probably not the best person to ask.

It says chelated so wonder if its like AN nutes and you dont mess with the ph might be a @Lostgirl question

Many plants suffer from micronutrient (magnesium, iron, zinc, copper, ect) deficiencies due to pH uptake imbalance.

These micronutrients can be ready available much easier in soil with chelated fertilizer to provide the micronutrients at a more readily available pH for nutrient uptake.

Without going into an entire scientific lesson on what chelation is and does I’ll give you the short version that answers what I believe you’re asking. Should i ph adjust a chelated fertilizer

No, depending on the micronutrient in question the chelation has taken care of the nutrient uptake by adjusting the pH to your water used and adjusting nutrient uptake in your soil

Example:
Let’s say iron had a nutrient absorption at pH 7.5 (just an example) a chelated iron fertilizer would have nutrient absorption availability between pH 5.0-9.0

If you’re looking for more specific details there’s a lot of information on chelated fertilizer and the chelation process out there. This is a simple video that may answer some of your questions

Hope this helps

When fertilizers are “chelated” just means it’s been bonded to a different molecule to make it more plant available. It’s not something that is specific to any companies or buffering ph. Most fertilizers have at least some chelates in them.
