@OGIncognito i need to calibrate my ph meter first then do a test, what PPMs im I gonna expect, if i get low numbers should i mix some fertilizer when preparing the soil?
@OGIncognito i did mix some perlite with that soil during my last two runs!
When I slurry test FF coco loco from the bag it’s generally 2300-2600 PPMs. It’s amended with organic nutrients and gentler on the plant than synthetic fertilizer at those numbers. I’ve known Miracle Grow guys that flush the medium as in after potting up they’ll run several gallons to get the fertilizer activated and kind of a soft flush/rinse before transplanting the seedling. It’s really a crap shoot with time released nutrients
@dbrn32 I’m gonna do a slurry test to the soil that i have to determine what ph and ppms are there hopefully i can get an idea about what nutrients concentration in the soil im about to use, I’ll give it a try and let’s wait and see what’s gonna happen, appreciate your help.
@OGIncognito hopefully i can get the microbial life boosted up by using Recharge, it’s a Journey i have to experience, let’s see what’s gonna happen…thanks for ur help brother.
You got this Grow Bro, I’ve seen seen some very successful runs with this type of medium. I would recommend waiting several weeks before adding the recharge. It’s aids in nutrient uptake and not sure you want this too soon with time released nutrients and a young plant. I would add 20-30% perlite as well to help with drainage
I used Gaia green for about two years and I have nothing bad to say about it.
I did find along the way 2 tbs per gallon every 3 weeks was plenty.
If watch any of his recent videos he has cut his usage down a lot too.
I measured it in a separate container with worm castings and mixed it well, it kept the dust down to zero and out of those luscious buds.
@Autos-only this is my first organic auto run excited to experience it, although it would be much better or forgiven for me as my first organic run to do a photoperiod run!..let’s hope for the best!
@dbrn32 i was wondering does mixing up Worm castings to the soil when preparing will do any good?
Worm castings are always a good addition. Full of microbial life! Ready to feed the plants.
Yes worm castings are probably the most widely used organic soil ammendment. They will bring multiple benefits to soils.
@Autos-only, it’s been a hot minute i know😅, i have a question, what growing medium did u used along with Gaia green nutritions?, and were u growing autos in that particular medium?
Hey brother! I used Peat based media with organics. Such as promix hp. You could also use ocean forest and hold off on the top dress until flower.
Yes I ran autos then also.
@Autos-only, do you PPM from time to time to check on the amounts of the nuts in the soil before top dressing?, if u do on what ppms u top dress the soil?
