I should have the same situation. Same job, same company for 25 yrs. Unfortunately, we sold more work than I can man, so away I go.

" Hung by the stem in the tent with care"

Pure Michigan washed and hung yesterday , once they stopped dripping water, took them to the tent for the dry, gave another once over to make sure I did not miss rot spots, none I could see :+1:

I had a time when I was stumped to why my plants produce tons of starts but no peppers. Found out from a chicken friend that they can’t taste spicy and they love the bright color. Had to move to raised bed and screen barrier around it.

I’d buck, wash, and water cure to save all I could rather than lose. At least I know it’s safe to consume, but it’s not gonna look pretty. The wash does though.

I like those Orpintons (probably spelling it wrong). They are good producers.

Nice. We had mostly black copper marans and they were good to us. The yolks of their eggs are so rich; almost a deep orange in color. We invested in Americaunas too. The eggs were they laid had pastel colors

Water glassing. You fill a half gallon jar with fresh clean eggs. Mix 4 oz of pickling lime with a gallon of cold water, pour over eggs and tighten lid. They will store for a couple years that way. I’m a huge prepper, I have hundreds of pounds of dry food sealed and vacuumed in gama lid pails with airlock valves. Flour, salt, sugar, pasta, rice, beans, freeze dried meats and eggs too. You name it, I got it put up! lol I might do a lot of things, but starving ain’t in the plans!
