Yeah, wow, so sorry about it all!

While I had heard of severe storms over the weekend in the upper mid-west, new england, and southern canada, it wasn’t until this evening that I saw a couple articles and videos of the aftermath.

Hang in there!
I’m glad that you guys are stabilized and can now do welfare checks on neighbors.

Yes so are we, it took wifes’s uncle and her son and 3 others with chainsaws and 2 bobcats with grapples 3 hrs to get to us from the main road, still a mess but we can get somewhere now I will do a video as we travel checking on other, and post it close to 300,000 with no power. @Twelve1

Hopefully it warms enough, with some sun today to melt some of the ice before the Wednesday mess arrives. What a mess Sir. Glad you can do what you are. I’m sure someone will need some assistance. Stay safe.

Wow, sorry, that has changed the landscape.
Your video really shows how blocked the road to your house was. So many trees had to be chopped!

Thanks @Twelve1 yes it’s a shame, we are going to have clear about a 15 acre section and start over it will not be grown back up for another 20 yrs, by then it will be my son’s problem.

That’s insane! Unreal how it just snaps the branches off the trunk as well as bringing them down. What happens to all that dead branch stuff after a coupe of years? We get huge forest fires here because of all the dead dry stuff on the forest floor. Hope you’re in a wet enough area that it rots quickly…

Wife’s son is going to come through during the summer and chip it all out and haul away, it is fairly moist around here. Plus it’s Redpine Rots fast

Well, I’m NOT liking this post. It gives me the chills. It’s just amazing how much of a bitch Mother Nature can be. You and the family stay safe Bud.
Looks like tomorrow could be a nightmare down here as well. Generator is ready, with gas on hand. Hopefully won’t need it. :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

Y’all definitely getting a large dose of weather this spring. It’s been a crazy weather pattern in the central US bringing huge rain, tornados, blizzards, and lemon sized hail in some places. Hopefully this pattern will switch for you soon.
