Hello, I’m in the beginning stages of starting a grow, I see a few strains that im interested in, in the “beginner” category but I dont see a mix pack for me. Can you guys possibly put together a mixpack for beginners?
White Widow blueberry AK-47 Northern Lights any of those are easy fast and very productive (although I’ve only grown two of the four)
- good luck
White Widow Autos are great for a beginner, plus cheap as well but beware they are high in thc which might be not what you want.
As @Paranorman said you have a few choices

Welcome @MikeyCush I’m a first timer indoors and I’m growing AK47 so far so good on 3 weeks since I dropped my first seed.
How big of a grow area do you have to work with? in or out?
Thank you @bob31, Indoor, I have a huge closet that I’m going to put my tent in, not sure of the dimensions just yet but I’m gonna finish cleaning it out and take exact measurements tomorrow. Ak-47 is definitely on my list of seeds that I’ve researched on here. I’m so excited!
hey @MikeyCush welcome aboard the crazy train!! lol i bought the auto flower mix-pack for my first go at indoor growing. their all very forgiving plants, great for beginners! i believe you get blueberry, amnesia haze, and northern lights all autos so you do not have to worry about light schedules so much, all in all a great deal! thats my 4 cents worth!lol
89 bucks for 3 by 3 seeds thats nine total, great deal…or you may look at buy five get five deals!
Once you decide the dimensions of your space we can figure out how many plants you can grow. My grow area is tiny. One plant at a time until spring. I intend to overlap them though.
Also once you figure out your space let us know why your growing? recreation, pain, anxiety and then we can be a bit more specific. But all we can give is opinions so there will always be different opinions but the final decision is yours!
Hey there @MikeyCush
Welcome to the nut farm
You’ll love it here and I’ll tell you what
Doesn’t matter on the seeds you pick because with all the support you have here any grow will be successful
Just ask whatever questions you have and wait to get your answers before doing anything drastic
That’s the best advice I can give right now
Make sure you get a ph and tds meter when you order you tent this way things start on the right foot
Again welcome aboard
Thank you @Countryboyjvd1971 my wife and I are very excited to start our grow journey! It’s mainly for her and for me its more about learning a new skill that will possibly benefit others in the near future.
OK, I have my closet measurements, now I’m not a master measurer but I roughly got H: 7ft 11inches W: 5ft 7inches and Depth: 2ft 11inches. Maybe you guys can point me in the right direction for tent sizes.
so basically 3 feet by 5.5 feet. Thats a good height too.
I think I would go with @BIGE recommendation and consider the 3x3 mix pack. Auto flowering are good so you don’t have to be as careful with the lights,
You have decent room, I’m going to say depending on what you plant but all things being good, You have enough room for three plants at a time I’d say and a little room left over so it’s not too crowded?
other considerations:
Do you have lights for your grow room?
pH and TDS meters?
Soil (be careful with miracle grow not really good to use for MJ) ?
Water? Tap water can be used but have to watch chlorine and pH. Distilled water is good too. All water must be pH’d before use. Rainwater is a good option as well.
There are some other things but those are the basics really.
Read around the forum. There are a ton of grows and discussions about every aspect of growing.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions.
Some of the others will chime in on this as well. Amazon has a ton of stuff for getting started.
Have fun and good luck and If you want to bring someone to your topic just use the @ in front of their username and it will flag them.
Hope that helps ya @MikeyCush
Thanks again @bob31 I uploaded a picture of the soil I have, if not I have the smart naturals happy frog. I have two 300w Viparspectra LEDs in my shopping cart, Fox farm liquid nutrients trio, Hydrofarm Dual Outlet 7-Day Grounded Digital Programmable Timer, 1725W, 15A and a pH meter.
you’re on the ball @MikeyCush!!
OK looking good! I don’t see a pic tho? It takes a bit wait it says uploaded saved before you click reply.
When you get everything situated and your ready, post your progress in the grow journals forum so we can follow along on your progress.
White widow is very easy to grow as is AK-47. One tip if you grow AK-47 is it tends to use calcium up and needs to be supplemented frequently. If I grow it again, I will start adding small amounts early and keep going throughout the grow. AK is an awesome buzz and I love it better than most. Super silver haze was an easy grow and grew well for me also. I got Robert’s free grow book and read it before I did anything. A LOT of good info there. I think most of us here have it. Good luck on your grow. Keep posting, it makes the learning easier and more fun. Jerry
Thanks @TxGrowman, I’m doing all the reading and research before I do anything, I want to make sure my grow will be as close to perfect as possible. Thanks for the AK advice because it surely was on my “to grow” list.

The super skunk fem or auto the white widow fem or auto ak47 fem or auto big bud and bubblegum are all great beginner strans depending on how fast you want in the quantity you want the autos grow anywhere between 60 and 90 days the feminize seeds take several months but you cannot go wrong with any on this list and I know there are tons more The yield you can pull off of any of the fem and I see this anywhere from 200 to 400 g if you got the right equipment to do it
