Bazoo's first run

@dbrn32 sorry to keep bugging you. I think I should move my drivers outside the grow space. What’s the best way? It will be a 10 foot run max. I imagine I will need heavier gauge solid core ?

What makes you think so? I’m surprised especially this time of year. If you feel like it’s absolutely necessary you probably wouldn’t need different wire for that kind of run. You are using hlg-320h-c1750 with 18awg to boards correct?

Yes,I’m using the wire and drivers that came with the kit. I’m only at 75% right now and its low 80’s in there. I test ran the dehumidifier with lights on today. It jumped over 85 quick. I turned off the 260xl and it still hovered at 84-85. I also removed the filter from the T6 and it didn’t help much. that’s running on 7 with a straight shot about 1.5 feet out to the basement. I looked again, the wire run is realistically 6 feet max.
Edit: Also, I’m on the coast in the Northeast. Temps can range any where from 0-65F and humidity can swing 40-50% in 24 hrs. My basement is typically 55-60 this time of year. I have 4-260’s and 2 320’s down there and it stays in the 70’s in the lung area pretty consistently. It also is heated from the furnace. I’m either going to have to rock an AC or leave a window cracked once everything is at 100%

Day 3 flower:
update on the GSC and CP. they all had one gallon of 1/4 dose week 1 AN bloom with 1/4 dose of Rhino Skin PH 6.6 @ 560ppm

I couldn’t hit 80 in my basement in July. I tried to sneak heater down there but my wife nearly had kittens.

lmao. it’s gotten into the 20’s a couple times here already. It will get to the 20’s again tonight. I’m monitoring it closely. It’s 46 outside right now and 78 in the basement. I’d like to see some 60’s at night possibly to get some color changes in flowering. My problem it the damn heat with lights on. I can’t really run them at night because my schedule wouldn’t work around that.

I hear you, is 100% opposite for me.

In other news, I finally put the clones into soil. I put them in Happy frog and fed 1/4 dose week 1 veg. ph 6.6 @280 ppm. They are under the HLG 260 xl @100w and 48” they are in the 4x4 with 2 mothers for now

And just for fun… I dropped 2 WW autos that were free. They are in 5 gallon bags with Coast of Maine Stonington Blend around a solo cup worth of damp Happy Frog where the seeds are. If they pop, this will be a water only grow until I see signs of them needing nutes. They are in the 4x4 under 18/6 with everyone else until they need more light.

Thanks, I’m going to have my hands full very soon. Thinking about a Diablo Scorpion for the big tent and starting another run. The HLG black Friday sale is giving me the wantsies.

Nice! I have a 260 for my 3x3. Haven’t used it yet. the WW autos will go in there once they get rolling. I probably shouldn’t buy anything else, but the deal…

Day 5 flower
Got the AC and dehumidifier up and running. Shooting for mid 70’s and 50% .
Everyone got a gallon of rhino skin, cal mag and fishit
PH 6.6@420 ppm.
The Cherries had more run off. I’m still seeing low PH around 5.6 and high PPM over 2000 coming out.
Going to stick with small doses of bloom nutes PH’d to 6.5-6.8 and more days of Rhino, calmag, fishit combo PH’d close to 7 for now. I know Silica (rhino) likes a higher PH to stay soluble and my runoff PH is low, so I’m hoping for a win-win type of correction on the PH.
All this said, the plants look fantastic and are growing fast!
Veg tent is quiet. No movement yet on the WW autos. I might make some domes for them temporarily

Day 6. Starting to see some white hairs forming from the budsites. Still trying to dial in (down) the humidity. The AC is for some reason adding humidity. Its staying mid 70’s and 50-60%. Might be a problem later on in flower.
All is well in the 4x4 No movement yet on the WW auto seeds.
Black Friday… I have a scorpion diablo and 2 UVA’s coming :smiling_imp:

Rhino skin, cal mag, fishit PH 7.0@280 ppm
Each plant had 1/2 gallon of runoff
PH out 5.8 and 1000-1800 ppm
PH and Ppm are getting closer to a good range.

White Widow auto #1 is above ground

Day 10 in flower.
Fed 1/4 dose cal mag and 1/4 dose AN bloom nutes to slight runoff.
I pretty much defoliate a little bit every time I’m in the tent. Today I took a good amount of stuff off the bottom of the plants. Lots of suckers, some bigger branches that were going to be well below the canopy, stuff hanging outside the scrog, and quite a few big fans. I know heavy defoliation is something many do around day 21. I’m hoping to arrive at day 21 with most of it already done so I don’t have to remove too much at one time.
Solo Girl has been getting fed every day or every other day depending on how dry she is.

In the veg tent:
All clones got their first feeding. 1/4 dose calmag and AN grow nutes. 200 ml per plant. The mothers got calmag.
The WW autos are stretching like crazy even with the light lowered. I did bend them over a bit. Today is day 3&4 for them.

lightly trimmed a few more suckers and fans.

Well, my HLG Scorpion diablo has been sitting in the box for well over a week. I got a package today with some Barney’s farm Pineapple Chunk, Purple Punch and some bonus Banana Mango Punch beans. I was a little perplexed when I opened the package and saw a green backpack… So I opened the zippers… nothing there… So I felt around the backpack… Hmmm, lol. Let’s just say they had to be surgically extracted :joy:

Looks like I’m going to have to unbox that light and put her to work :christmas_tree:
