It has turned cold for many of us and we are breaking out the humidifiers. Some use bacteriostatic products to keep our humidifiers clean. Using peroxide instead is equally effective and much less expensive. A bacteriostatic costs about $10 a quart and it takes a half-cup for a 5 gallon humidifier. You can get a whole gallon of 12% peroxide off Amazon for $29 and it takes less than an ounce of it per gallon.
