@emgoldslo AN Sensizym
good stuff
I use the wave maker. It sits lower in the rez than the pump I use for the big water tank I have. I would think. But donāt know. That when the level got low enough. It would start to spray some in there and raise the ph levels like an air stone. If @emgoldslo has the pump, he would know better than I do for that. Another one mysteriously broke off Hmmmmm
It looks pretty good
lmao - Damn, caught me again
Hey @beardless
Do you just flush the coco with it or do you soak the coco?
@Not2SureYet @emgoldslo whatās the differ between the flextank and flextank pro?
Iām not sure. @Nicky might know because he recommended the pro.
I opted for the Flextank because Iām considering building my own.
I bought the XL with 6 pots and got the 60 gallon tank. I had 6 plants in my 5x5 and during flower they were going through 5 gallons of water a day. My next grow also has 6 plants but after that Iām going down to 4, maybe 5.
Ok thank you. The site I found the system on doesnāt say the diff between the 2, it just gives the option of one or the other lol
I believe I read in one of @Nicky 's responses somewhere in the forum that recharge isnāt good for this system. May have been clogging issues I think.
Hereās the small list of the extras I just ordered, should get me through the 1st run.
Also Iām pretty sure āSecretGardenā is still good for a 5% discount at webhydroponics
Thanks everyone for all the Information. I ordered the AutoPot Springpot XL 6pot pro system and some extra parts. The site I got it from had it for 10% off plus I got an additional 5% off from a coupon code and ended up getting it all shipped for $424 which was more than a $100 cheaper from Autopots website! For the other stuff I will get it from Amazon. Thanks again everyone for your input
I soak coco for a couple hours. Hydroton I soak for a couple days.
Recharge has kelp in it which is organic and can cause issues, however the newer aqua valve 5 is designed larger to work with organics as long as the reservoir is cleaned after each fill.
Flexi tank normal vs proā¦
The normal flexi tank is a nice design but the poles fall out of the bottom every time you move it. I have never used a pro although it doesnāt have the pole issue and is considered better for multiple reasons.
That being said Iāve used the old valves and two non pro flexi tanks for 2+ years nowā¦
I broke a fitting and may have to upgrade to the new valves which will cost me 150$ to replace my current ones.
I ended up going with the pro version because it was only a $39 difference. I also did get the aqua valve 5 version.
@Nicky I ended up going with canna coco bricks from my local hydro store. They had the bags of it, but when I went to grab a couple a few of them had large tears in them surrounded by hundreds of fungus gnats. So I went with the bricks as all those fungus gnats scared the crap out of me lol
Gnats in coco Wierdā¦
Your going to be super happy, Iām due for an upgrade on my setup but I grow decent with it and itās been working for years.
I may have to upgrade tot hese new valves thoughā¦
Yeah dude there were so many gnats all hovering around the baseball sized holes in the bags and when I moved the bag 100s came flying out. I instantly said NOPE and grabbed the bricks. I am super stoked to use this auto pot system. Iāll be germinating my photo seeds here this weekend or early next week.
@emgoldslo whatās the shelf life on that armor SI ?
There is no date stamped on my container. Just a batch number. That might be a question for general hydroponics.
Ok, thank you.
@Pinboy did you end up getting a pump for your rez or a wave maker? Iām about to purchase my pump and extra tubing. Also does the autopot xl with the 3/8 tubing, is the tubing hard tubing or soft? I am about to order extra tubing as well.
