Got four 5 gal fabric pot autopot system with a 12 gal rez any tips would be appreciated thank you.
@Dman1969 just work through starting up with auto pots. Might be able to help ya some.
Thank you any info is greatly appreciated I’m not starting with them at the moment but won’t be long though.
@Nicky and @Not2SureYet have alot of experience with Autopots. I asked them several questions when i started using them
These are pros and I’m just a grasshopper at this point. Thanks My Sister for the high praise.
@Capt.Cola & @OGIncognito are on the top of my list also.
I’m starting my second grow in a few days and I will help out any way I can.
Thanks Brother D, @Vtbudz best advice I can offer is do a mock up of your layout with the pots and your space, flow your lines from the res without pots checking for leaks. Depending on the age of the plants determine when I put them in the auto trays, coco for a medium with perlite. Some place rocks or clay pebbles at the bottom of their pots before filling them with coco. I personally run 70/30 coco and perlite. Last but not least enjoy the system, you and your plants will thank you
Thank you @Dman1969 will definitely ask questions @OGIncognito that will be my plan this weekend thanks for the advice.
I’m gonna hang out if you don’t mind. And we gonna learn together
Sounds good to me @Dman1969
@Vtbudz you are going to like your auto pots! They are a great addition to any grow. Be careful what you run in the reservoir. Some things tend to clog the lines and valves more so then others. I personally found a 12 gallon reservoir was not big enough for four plants and got another. So I run two plants per reservoir and that works out pretty well. I also use a wave maker or two in each tank. When they get drinking you will be going through some water! Enjoy your new pots.
Wish I could like this twice! Sweet light!!! Best of luck with the autopits
Auto pro tip #1 find a breeder that other auto growers trust. Many photo breeders don’t produce good autos.
In no particular order, dinafem, fastbuds, heavyweight seeds, mephisto, Dutch passion, Jordan from the island, night owl, all good breeders and there is more, buddah seeds has a nice purple kush that’s really purple.
Dial in your environment first by learning lighting DLI. (see the thread I made use the search option)
Then control your heat and humidity using a controller for your exhaust fan (why I highly recommend AC infinity T series and a humidfior for veg) nail your VPD or get close it’s very important at veg. I run a Heater and a humidfior for the first 3-4 weeks unless I’m in mud summer.
Don’t train you plant to much, FIM it and leave it alone, once you see flowers forming Lolipop it and then defoilate it.
Dial lights down after mid to late flower to avoid fox tails. But crank it Durring mid veg to mid flower
I see your using coco coir any recommendations
I’m trying it now but it was the fox farm kind 70/30 and didn’t no if any other good brands
@Nicky any on Amazon that are good to get thank you
Brother that just explained some of my foxtailing 1000 watt Hps at 100% is a tad much! I’ve heard autos and photos need different things so to speak. And I’m new to autos. Thanks
for that valuable info!
Aside from fox farms coco loco any coco should be fine as long as it’s not for reptiles.
Coco had salts and calcium/magnesium ion issues if it’s not washed and buffed but any coco for growing anything will be washed and buffed.
Thank you @Nicky
