Autoflower Training

I’ve been seeing different information online, and I’m looking to get some input from the community.
Is it safe to top an autoflower, or should this be only LST?
I am about to start my 2nd grow. My first one I did no training at all and just let the plant do its thing.

I’ve done it both ways to me it’s a toss up.
Definitely tie that mother down though to get more even canopy for more even light across the plant

Ive found if you top do it early and the less you mess with autos the better they grow i femm usually good luck

I top my autos one time at about 6 nodes and let them ride. Follow up by pulling and spreading the limbs out. You will end up with a nice bush.

Yes it is. I do both. I treat them like photoperiods, just start early.

Some of my autoflower didn’t sprout roots all the way I still planted them in a small 12 cups led lit tray. How much light do they need?? They haven’t come up from the top of the soil yet so do I still give them a little light? Or is it better to keep them in darkness until they sprout out of the soil??

I supercrop my autos… like this…

Welcome to the forum bertino
I leave a light on 24 hours when I am sprouting seeds so when they do decide to break through the soil they have some energy to grow.
They don’t need a lot of light at first around 100-150 PPFD

Hope this help and enjoy the day

@kellydans , Good Morning:
Topping at the 6th node as ya mentioned, I have been curious
about topping my plants to get the big Bud as I’ve seen on this forum, after you take the sterilized scissors to the plant, do ya put a pruning sealer on her ?
or just let it seal on it’s own ?
I’ve grown weed for along time,
But never tried advanced techniques on them

No top an let her ride. Be careful and top the last growth. It will slow down the upward growth a little and Let the side branches catch up and make a nice event canopy. plant will seal off itself quickly.

Is that more yield lower quality? I’ve always wondered that with more flower spots

I did that once before and it worked great on this super stretching bubblegum Auto I had!
Had to fit it all in the tent. No other option really.

I just fim at about 14-20 days and then train branches out. I more or less lollipop and defoliated a lot. All things I’d read I shouldn’t do. Most plants have been great. Indica and Sativa.

I do think that this prolongs the grow cycle but it drastically increases woods.

No. Quality will actually be better as you’ll get more light to bud sites.

Yes that’s what I’m doing this time around. I have a 5x5 now where as before was 2x4.
So much better with 5x5. Actually it’s 6ft tall which is so nice.
