Autoflower Day 59 - Deficiencies everywhere, Nute Lock?

Hello Friends - I have been battling deficiency problems for a while now, and clearly I have not been able to figure this out. Once flowering came, these deficiencies started popping up left and right. It looks like Potassium deficiency as well as Calcium deficiency and possibly magnesium deficiency? I am guess it is Nute Lock? So many symptoms look similar but clearly my plant is suffering from something.

About my grow:

Growing in Coco Coir and perlite bottom feeding using Octopot. The roots are in the water so I just fill the reservoir at this point and she drinks a gallon or more a day.

Light - Mars Hydro SP3000 - 300 Watt LED about 22 inches above canopy - DLI around 45

Nutrients: Jacks 321, was giving between 50-80% feed (500 ppm) in veg, Now I am giving around 800 ppm now that she is flowering.

My last feeding was a full feeding of Jacks, which was around 1080 ppm, which probably was too much if she’s locked out anyway. In hindsight that was probably not the best idea. Clearly I have been struggling to get this dialed in. Most information that I have seen with the octopot grow system recommend up to 800 ppm. The nutrients should be there.

Water - Typically I keep my water in the reservoir between 5.8 PH and 6.2 PH, it was 6.4 this morning but still within the 5.5 to 6.5 range recommended for the octopot grow system. My understanding is the octopot is treated as hydroponic grow because the roots are in the water. Looking through some other posts on here that have similar symptoms, I am guessing I should have a higher PH than what was recommended.

The nutrients should be there because she gets daily feedings so I am suspecting possible nute lock. I am not sure how to fix this. Do I do a complete flush and just give regular water and if so, how much and for how long?

If someone can help point me in the right direction and confirm if I am looking at nute lock or something else, that would be wonderful. I do not want to wake up to a dead plant but shes not happy. Yes this is my first plant so I am still learning, the hard way. If you need any more details, please let me know.

Thank You for your time and any help.

Looks to me like you need some CalMag. I always put some in with the nutes.

Welcome to forum
Was your coco buffered with cal mag prior to grow?

Thank You. It was Fox Farm Coco Loco blend so that comes prebuffered I believe. It contained a certain amount of nutrients for the first few weeks. But to answer, no I did not add any additional calmag when I planted initially.

I have never used Jacks, not available where I am.
I always add cal mag when growing in coco.
I mix cal mag first then other nutrients and adjust EC according to growth stage.
I adjust pH to 5.8 then add to reservoir.

Welcome to the community Grow Bro, I too bottom feed but with a different set up. Unlike top feeding and checking the run off numbers when issues pop up, I pull the plant and check the PH at the bottom of the tray or where your pot is sitting. No need to add calcium, it’s in the jacks Part B. I do see a magnesium deficiency, are you adding Epsom salt at 1.0 gram per gallon? Coco loco is more of a blend and recommend a PH around 6.2-6.5. I’ve used that medium a few times and 6.3 worked well. :love_you_gesture:

She does look hungry, feed at 800-1000 PPMs and PH at 6.3 :love_you_gesture:

Thank You my friend. Yes I have been using 1.0 g per gallon of Epsom along with 3.0 part A and 2.0 part B. Should I add I increase everything to full feeding of Jacks at this point (3.6 A, 1.2 Na, 2.4 B) ?

Appreciate the help.

I have given her full feedings the last three days. I’m not really seeing much improvement color wise, shes still pretty yellow. I am not sure if that’s because shes using her energy on the flowers or if she’s still starving and rejecting the nutes. Should the color come back or is there still an issue here?

Coco loco sux ass and from my understanding should be treated more like a soil not like coco. I tried it very first and had nothing but mad issues switched to canna coco and never have a problem. Canna coco comes all pre buffered ready to go after u expand with ur nutes of choice. Try running a higher ph than what coco calls for like try running pH at 6.2 to 6.5 also the yellowish looking on kinda on a way resembles light burn in ways but could be wrong. How close is it to the lights ect.

What’s the run off PH and PPMs Grow Bro :love_you_gesture:

PH in my reservoir is 6.2-6.3. I have been trying to keep it in that range. PPM is 1040, usually between 1000-1100. EC is 2.2

We are getting close to the end here. She just never was able to recover from the deficiency problems so I have had this yellow burned up plant for nearly a month now. I am hoping she can make it the next few weeks.

The struggle is real. I just want to get through this one and hopefully not have the same issues in my next grow. I wish I could pinpoint exactly what went wrong.

Hoping the buds will be ok
