Auto flower questions?!?!

Greetings and thank you for your time,
I also on my time I leave it on 24 hours.
In flowering I have been known to lower it to 18/6 if I see the foxtailing starting up.
I push my auto’s, I read the leaves and let them lead they will tell you more than you think. Remember we all all different and auto’s are also, we all have different needs. If you read the leaves and you need to back down on nutrients or light auto’s will tell you.
Thanks for your time.

Cannabis autos and photos can only absorb so much lighting. 24/7 through flower?? I guess if it works for you. Nice example of evening the odds on the runt :love_you_gesture:

Foxtails are from intensity not duration :love_you_gesture:

Greetings and thank you for your time,
Like you said if I works it works. I keep in mind when reading and studying, not all of us has the same wattage of lights or led or other. Yes intensity and duration, so I apply that to what light I have gives me and the placements of my plants in the tent. I like to read my plants let them tell me. I like 18/6 as well but like I said I like to push the ruderalis feature, by that i mean they are on their time I had that last plant up on the pedestal start flowering @ 4 weeks and almost caught up to the one two weeks in front of it. I find all auto’s you can’t put them all in one box marked the same. I maybe wrong but this is where I am now with my 24 hour on so far. I did just yesterday by reading my one plants to raising light height with the grow in mind and backed down to 18/6 and yes I took duration and intensity into mind, but not after I pushed them. It has been doing well with the equipment I have.

It is working for me.
Thanks for your time and support

Looking good!! Why change what’s working for ya. I grow both photo and autos and sometimes at the same time in the same space. You’re right not one size fits all but the basics are always the same. I push and experiment with autos as well but the 18/6 works for me using all the variables including setting my light by DLI/PPFD :love_you_gesture:

Nice training by the way :love_you_gesture:

Greetings and thank you for your time,
Thanks on the training, here is on style. The other style is sorta a open clam style, shown the bigger plant.

Thanks for the discussion on auto’s, I love them and am planning on staying with them.

Looks identical to some of the torture techniques I’ve used :love_you_gesture:

Auto Topped and spread out

Auto Manifold

Photo modified manifold

It was 18/6 which all three started on then the bigger one wouldn’t flower so I had to swap it to 12/12 then which ofc it started flowering buttttt my little girl decides to start flowering about a week after switching to 12/12. So I’m hoping she does decent but I guess we shall see. One thing I’ve learned since growing is you never know sometimes with these autos they definitely have a mind of there own.

Greetings and thank you for your time,
I am enjoying the LST so much. I love yous as well. All in all I am finding the plant leads the way she will be bent. I have damaged a couple in my learning process :sleepy:, I feel for my old hands the feel of the plant is so important to limits. Here is a top Cola broken off, two pieces, by my try of LST on a to late traing and my ignorance of not trying earlier. But I used a paper clip and scotch tape and Hellraiser calming me. Here is a pic broken, repaired, final harvest, and what the stem looked like when taken off during harvest.

I do not know all and I just want to learn more. I love your skills stay in touch.
Thanks again for your time.

Greetings and thank you for your time,
I forgot the pic before harvest.

Take care and thanks!

Out of likes but likewise on staying in touch. Always a good thing meeting a new Grow Bro/Sis even if it’s virtual :love_you_gesture:

Greetings and thank you for your time,
Do you feel like the toppings gives you more yield? I tried bettering my yield by just LST style on the clam style, I only removed a few larfy buds, if you look at the biggest one I left all I could just to see if I gave it all it needed will it produce more, so far the jury is nearing closure. I haven’t topped yet but when I do I would value your help, I like your style. The timing of auto’s unknowns has me wanting to see if topping does make a difference. Your opinion would be a valuable input.
Thanks for your time.

I do think and prefer topping, I’ve tried fimming on a Skittlez auto run and they came out really bushy. Topping creates additional growth points and stops the apical growth at the topping. I will typically grow them to the 6th node and top back to the 5th, sometimes sooner and at the 4th node if they’re vigorous and growing fast. My yields increased by 30% and more. I pulled 8 and 9.5 zips on 2 Sour Diesels from my last harvest with topping and spreading the sides out.

Greetings and thank you for your time,
Looking nice brother! I honestly would like to get with you on my next grow, and try a plant out. I am learning alot and I don’t want to past your knowledge by. I would like to try one with and one without topping. However no two are ever the same to really know with auto’s. I really do trust your knowledge. It was very nice to have met you today, thanks for sharing :+1:.
Take care and thanks for again for your support.

Nailed that statement. I have a Super Lemon Haze that should be taller than the Indica Purple Kush… not so. The SLH is the first one I haven’t done any HST on. Straight LST, the Ak47 and PK are topped and spread out as much as my space allows. As much as I plan how many I can grow and the space I have… I’m batting around 300 :joy::joy:. A few in a tent let’s me really spread them out, running several I try and do the math and how wide I can spread them out then it’s all vertical growth after that

Greetings,
I am having some thoughts on space and style as well. I am glad that I could not get my legal 4 pots due to runts and seeds not opening. LST clam style takes up a space of 2 pots. So that’s why I was going to get with you when I do the lay down like you showed me.
Thanks again for your support.

I didnt top these. Newbie. But theyll be ready soon. Good thing bc heat is hetting bad down south. No fert. This is week 10. Water and rehular misting. The trichomes ate looking great. Will top next time.
