Auto flower harvest info

Morning all
My blue dream auto is still cloudy in the trichomes but the plant is dying
Leaves are drying up on the bottom
Question is should I pull her now or wait? I am keeping a very close eye on the trichomes with a 60 power so I am confident there are no amber yet but certainly cloudy
Thanks all!

Cloudy means mature. Amber is degraded. There are some plants that will simply not show amber at all. Having a picture in white light would help with deciding when it’s ready.

One thing I have learned with autos is that when they are done, they are done. They really go down hill fast and no amount of “babying” will extend the cycle.

@Myfriendis410 So here is a question for you.

So a person gets 25% amber. This is degraded. Now if you hold onto some weed for 6+ months in a closet. It also degrades.

Is there any difference between how it degrades or the same? I’m guessing its the same, correct?

@Dankloud started an experiment on trich development after the chop but must have gotten stoned with all the testing. Didn’t follow through, no updates.

I did complete the experiment. After 5 days I didn’t see any more development. Dunno what happens after that though lmao.

5 days is about how long it lasts around my house. LOL So I’m golden. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

This has been in Grove Bag for about 7 weeks.

Trichs are shriveled but don’t seem to be significantly darker overall.
I would think exposure to light has a lot to do with development/degredation whether the plant is alive or not.

I mean over long term storage. When I pulled my Blue Dream I barely had any amber trichomes. Now its full of amber due to degrading over long period of time.

Can’t stop it completely but proper storage is paramount. Dark and cool with proper Rh I think is even better than freezing as freezing will cause molecular breakdown throughout.
Fire definitely stops the degradation. That is my solution, burn it up before it has a chance to degrade anymore.

I would agree.
