Around The World in 40 Strains

Post 500.
Chop chop says the clock, California dream going downtown!

Smelled super peppery opening the closet up.

And denudes everywhere! Defol day for the remaining flowering matrons. These ladies will officially mark the end of the Around the World in 40 Strains.

Back row tall: my SLH X OB, lemon cherry gelato, unknown solo cup challenge, second SLH X OB
Front at left: sour D, silver geist, papaya cake. There was a distinct grapey smell like my old afghan! But it was out of the Sour Diesel. Like 95% match…makes me wonder about the original. Came out of the afghan packaging so I have to assume it was. But still…if I had known it would do that I would have left lower buds for reveg. Hmm maybe I’ll leave a nug and try it anyway see what happens.

Thank you kindly Bunger it’s been a heckuva ride but ready for some down time. I am looking over my numbers and am thinking, you know 5 years ago, that I would never have thought to be able to grow in my lifetime let alone would it be legal here and to then get college degree in it. It’s been such a huge change. Almost surreal but pretty damn fun ride.

Love growing and making and the Growhood that i found hear. Couldnt imagine this could even happen. Helps me be more structured i think. Lol

Oooh, I loved the Nepali Pink! Those were my first plants I grew (from clones) and they were monsters! They smelled wonderful and the high was nice and relaxing but with a small kick of energy.

And this was the two of them right after chop:

@Bunger64 its funny I feel the same watmy, given my career path  Now that ive started growin its addictive . I honestly love this forum and all the new friends *growmies) i met here . Who wouldve thought back in the 90’s that all this would be possible. Now if Texas and the Feds would just get on board, it would really be nice

Ok some totals for California Dream, which I think might be the last ILGM plant I grew for Around the World…

And it broke the 10% glass ceiling for kief collection! Pretty skunky, can’t wait to try.

And as the grow challenge winds down, a few remaining matrons are in the dark.

Got one or two plants left, hoping for a New Years harvest with them. Silly sativas

All apologies been having to work on this house forgot to take photos…
The last harvest is hanging:

Got Sour Diesel (it is an ILGM, my bad) Silver Geist, Lemon Cherry Gelato, unknown solo cup, and papaya cake up and chillin.
Went through the Afghan pheno hunt plants and have found a couple who are REAL CLOSE to my lost mother plant. Grapey and funky. This one is closest, so it is the Chosen One.

while caring for the ladies I found it had flowers falling off it, and a bunch of seeds in the lower buds. It was like the Pot Fairy knew I was trying to keep it and gave me seeds!!! :innocent:
Found this one hanging in the back…white buds on her.

Will be interesting to see how it grows out.

Love happy accidents!

I agree, not being able to hyperfocus on this last grow did yield some problems with pests, but if I had seen the dangling huevos on that plant I would have culled it before the terpenes profile would have presented and may have lost the pheno again. Sometimes things just have a way of working out. That is after karma is done spanking me.
Edited for over exuberant autocorrect

The pheno hunt plants are all over the board as far as terpenes profiles. A few are super citrusy, a couple are coated in gas and fuel vapors, some are greasy and my clothes smell for hours after handling them. I wager most strains are.like this…grow enough out and you would find this kind of variety. It will be interesting to see how those smoke reports turn out.
