@Wishingilivedina420state, I was wondering if you can tell me how many weeks in flower before I can begin to see the trichomes? I don’t see anything that looks like white dots when I look at mine yet, but it is young in flower.

Im going to wait, but I just want to avoid couch lock. I dont want too until they turn amber. Also, could anyone tell me how you look at the trichromes while they are on the plant? Do you have to remove a suger leaf or something too se the trichromes?

You need a magnifier (60x at least) to see the trichomes.

I just got a Carson 60-100 power LED lighted zoom pocket Microscope, but its really hard to look at a leaf on the plant.

You need to keep trying… That is the only way… Or you can buy a little Microscope.

OK, so you don’t need to cut a small piece of leaf off in order to look at the trichroms? When I do look at them, it looks like a lot of the trichroms look cloudy to me.

You can go whit that method to!
This is not arrived yet so I don’t know for now.

But I have this one and it’s pretty good but not if your hands are not stable.

And this is what I see whit him

Also might be worth mentioning that the trics on the sugar leaves will progress faster than those on the buds. @adamslarryd

I found a way to make my lg smartphone into a Macroscopic camera and I took some new photos their not picture perfect but it is better than just the camera alone. I’m going to buy this part that you can add to the phones camera and you can get some really get some good macro photos of the trichroms. Take a look at these.

I don’t know, the seeds came from some seeds I’ve had for more than 15 years! I was surprised that they even sprouted. And I used a method my brother told me about, you take the seeds and look at the blunt end. If it looks like a volcano, then its a female. It looks like it works, or maybe I was just plain lucky?:sunglasses::smile:
