Anyone ever use banana peels?

My peels are dry grind and was wondering how much you add to your soil and if it works well?

Hey I know you intended that for someone else but are you adding to your plants that are already in flower?

My plants I’m currently growing are 3 weeks into flower, could use now and also future advice about using them easier to store dry).

I would definitely try 3/4 of a cup depending on how how potent was it just bananas that you composted?

Yes they are composted banana peels. I would like to grow in organic or living soil. Is it possible to have a soil that would only need water for the entire grow?

I’ve made banana peel tea and used it on my girls with good results during the flowering phase. The extra potassium made for some sticky buds. Someone else had mentioned there are enzymes present that also help to “finish” the buds. So, better toward the end of flowering.

It’s a simple method, just cut the peel up into small pieces and toss it into a jar of filtered water. Place in the refrigerator to make a cold infusion for a few days. Sometimes I would add another cut up peel during the process. Strain off the liquid after a few days and add it to your watering/feeding schedule. I did check the ph of the infusion and found it to land consistently at the 5.8 level before adding to the watering can.

Add how much to feeding schedule?

I was using an old pickle jar(24 oz) to make the tea, and would split it into thirds. Each third went into my 2 gallon watering can and was topped up and checked for correct ph. My girls were growing in 5 gal bags and each of them would get a gallon of the mix every 4~ish days(once or twice a week). A gallon seemed to be just enough to produce runoff.

This is a pretty good article on banana tea and how to use it.
