Just out of curiosity; are you tracking the humidity where you flower them?
Well I am going to go out on a limb and agree that it looks like a real bad case of bud rot as well.
I don’t see salvaging any of what you have in that pic… sorry for your loss

Not really. Up until very recently we were having a very dry summer here in southern NM. Then a couple of weeks ago it started raining monsoon style. That was after fighting very high heat all summer. It is just now after giving the plants the once over that I found this. Although when I saw how big the buds on BIG BUD get I was worried they might be prone to it. So far I have found only one plant with it. There is a plant that came up all by itself that is definitely not big bud that is very space out and sparse that looks fine. I am going to wait for more opinions on this and do what the experts here tell me…as painful as it might be.
Looks like bud rot to me.
How about the plants that show none? Should I toss the all?

Thank you 410. Some plants show no signs. should I can them all. They Were getting very close to harvest. 
Separate out the flower that is obviously damaged and dispose of it by bagging and removal. I would then follow that with a strong peroxide/water solution and continue until harvest. Plan on doing a bud wash at harvest.

I’m a first time grower that got lucky with random seeds a friend gave me. Out of 5 that sprouted, all were female. How crazy right. Anyway, from what I’ve read, the dark lines on the leaves mean magnessium deficiency. I see no white powder indicating mold but it is turning buds brown. Please help me identify this because she’s about ready to harvest. Also, can the buds be smoked with damage?

Absolutely. It’s a mold that attacks the flower from the inside. You see it often in outdoor grows where caterpillars/worms have gotten into the flower. The only thing you can do other than destroy your plants is to pound them with peroxide and distilled water. I’d use 1/4 cup of 3% to 2 quarts distilled water. (If you don’t use distilled, the peroxide will react to the solids in the water and dissipate away)
This may or may not work. Only you can judge at harvest. I would also suggest you search for “water cure cannabis”. It may offer some benefits to saving your crop.

Sir, you are very helpful. But I have about decided to cut them and throw out the entire summer crop. My wife has rheumatoid arthritis and I believe it is started to move into her lungs. Even though we almost exclusively do edibles I don’t dare take a chance.
That is certainly the safest course.
There are things you can do to mitigate or eliminate mold going forward. Take time to look at different strategies before next year and hopefully you will have better results.
Thank you so much. But with the monsoon season pretty much all summer long here I may well have done my last outdoor grow. I would certainly never again try to plant Big Bud outdoors. The buds are one big sponge.

Fighting alot of bud rot myself but just cut the bad buds off and bag them remove from area and see whats left in the end

That’s definitely bud rot, I’m dealing with it myself on my outdoors plants. You can try to remove the rotting areas and bag them to try to keep from spreading it to other plants. Just keep a close watch on the rest of that plant and others if you have more. In cooler weather and high humidity bud rot spreads like wildfire and I have yet to find a complete cure for it. And it isn’t a good idea to smoke the rotten parts either.
