Then I would let them dry out and chop let them sit in darkness after soil starts to dry up

Instead of the ice tech I would just let them dry up ur ppms are low enough and looks like they have used up most the extra nutes so imo I would let them dry out darkness them then chop

@Amjk please explain why we need to cut the plants in the dark? I guess I am afraid I might cut an extension cord in the dark. Or actually cut it at the wrong place

You could use a green light to see. I think it’s so all the nutrients stay down in the roots, when the lights are on the nutrients are drawn up by the plants… I think anyways :v:t2:

@watters just getting your temps really cool up there will prob have a similar effect as the ice bath

i was just reading on this @Oldsoldier1976. it is best to cut plant just before light comes on because all the stuff from the plants has run down to the roots in the dark. it provides smoother smoke. big importance for outside growers and is why most outside pot is a little harsher is because it was harvested after light shown. this is quick synopsis of what i read, not all the parts.

@Oldsoldier1976 when in the dark the plant releases majority of the water along with nutrients back down into the roots. When lights come on it starts to bring all that back up.
With my 3 I harvested I simply removed the plant (I did one at a time as they ripened at different times) that was ready from the tent and put it in an area void of any usable light (no strong lights) making sure the temps and humidity was reasonable where I put her and let her sit to dry out for 2 days. When I harvested I didn’t cut the main stalk but cut off colas leaving them on branches and wet trimmed using the rooms normal lights (100 watt bulb) which I would think wouldn’t cause the plant to uptake water and nutrients as no real usable light.
Smoke from all 3 was smooth (2 right away and 1 needed a week curing in jars after drying)
Just remove the plant/s or make sure if your harvesting all at once that the lights are off (timer) for that day/s until your chopping them up.
Outside you would need to cut main stem and bring them inside to process as I can never find the off switch for the sun…lol

I have a green light that I used my last grow to do things when they were lights out and had no problems with the plants reacting badly to using it like hermied etc…
