They get really blurry when I zoom on them. But from what I can tell, I don’t see any amber. Close yes, but not ready yet

You’re almost there. The pic is a little blurry to get a good look tho. Try shining a flashlight on them. If the trichomes are sparkly, they’re still mostly clear and need more time. Clear trichomes look glassy and cloudy trichomes look more milky or plastic.

Thankyou for your help I’m at exactly 8 weeks of flower today, just getting impatient I suppose. I need to get in there during light on and whilst kids are out. Told them the rooms closed off because of damp and mild lol

I agree with mattybear and dbrn32, you’re close, but not yet.
I have yet to grow a plant that finishes in just 8 weeks of flower. I just dropped some ilgm cali Dream that’s supposed to finish in under 8 weeks… we’ll see.
Patience is all you need now.

How hard would it be to mimic the fundamentals of the weedrier out of wood. It doesnt have to be round, just make it square with a fan on the bottom and a hole on top and some mesh. I’m ready to dry so i think i might tinker with it. Ha

Just looked at their site…maybe the $150 I paid was with the extra filter and shipping.
if there was no fan in there i would agree with not round, but with air flow you want round so there are no dead corners. just a heads up @HogStix. i did kilns with lots of air flow for my last engineering job and 90 degree angles and corners are bad juju. causes turbulence and back pressure. corners cause dead spots. if you do your own i would stick with round if at all possible because you want to facilitate air flow thru the bins.

Fantastic job on the review @Skydiver. i will be getting one. i suspect the reason you are smelling pot on the third try is that your filter is getting weak and it is time to replace. i could be wrong on that one as i’m just guessing, but i’m a pretty good guesser!

great looking plants Annie, like the others i see no amber. i suspect at least a couple weeks, but don’t have anything to base that on. tonight is my “i’ll give it a guess” night lol

You could just try and modify a basic hanging herb dryer ($20). Cut a hole in the bottom for a computer fan and order a replacement filter from wedryer ($19).

you might get away with that, but i suspect a lot of engineering went into the wedryer. we have a supplier in Jackson, mi that is selling something that looks like the wedryer but costs 180 bucks and all they did is take a herb dryer package(prolly your 20 buck deal) and re-label it lol what jackasses it has no filter no fan

@Amjk I am following your grow because you are growing a Maui Wowie like me. So we don’t get confused about this I won’t post a picture. I think my girl is about 3 weeks older than yours.
I am growing the Maui and a Durban Poison. The difference is striking between my two girls. I think the Maui’s soil isn’t very kind to her. I think I could have made it a bit more sandy. I think the roots are struggling to reach air. It is the fact that I have as much perlite as I have and that I am not overwatering and drowning the roots that this girl seems to be striving to grow.
I am giving them another 3-4 weeks before I change the lighting schedule on them to 12/12 and sending them to flower. I have a timing schedule for this grow so it will not be like my next indoor grow. This is also my first so I am taking things slowly and the harvest yield isn’t as important as learning the process to identify problems and make changes along the way.
Anyway thanks for the sharing this journal. I don’t expect to compare in yield but I do want to compare the two plants and maybe we can exchange observations. I am no pro at this but I am taking notes of stuff I am doing.

@old soldier I also have been following your journal for the same reason as yours is older than mine. I mixed my biobizz lightmix soil with a good amount of perlite, my healthy ones seem to be thriving they’re almost 3 weeks. I am far from experienced also and just sort of muddling through, I haven’t even harvested my first grow yet. I will take pictures of all the lil ones tonight. Thanks for following, wishing you all the best with your grow.
