The heat the light produces actually works in my favor. My grow tent is in an unheated spare bedroom. When I’m not growing, the room runs around 55-60* in the winter.
When I’m growing, and the light is on, the room runs around 65-70*, with the inside of the tent a toasty 80-85*.
The other reasons I switched to autos was height. Photos were growing into my light. Esp my favorite strain, Mazar, which can hit 6’.
Nice to hear there’s still a few dinosaurs out there growing with HIDs.
As long as your roots don’t circle the bottom of your pot; you won’t move into flower. I have found- rhizomatic, silica with fulvic acid and a very loose medium gets one approximately 6 weeks veg. In the middle of that I’ll FIM. During that recovery time; the roots aren’t growing, so they aren’t circling the pot. I believe it’s the tap root. You’ll have a bush before flower triggers.
