Afghan XXL Auto Diary

First picture is 7 days in. The second is at 36 day’s with a before and after of tieing down 2 branches and some pruning to open up the centre of the plant. It’s just starting its stretch.

The seedling is stretching a little too much, need to move light closer (or move seedling closer to light).

Is it the same plant at different stages ? Or do you have 3 plants?

Looking good! Nice healthy plant you have there. I normally leave the fans on until after preflower stretch.

Yep, same plant

Thanks for all of the tip’s and appreciation comments. It’s the same plant in all 3 pictures. It’s the second time I’ve grown this strain and I wish I took more pictures of the first one. I have 2 meter high by 1.5 wide and deep tent but I’m only growing 2 maximum at a time and but by the time 2 are ready for harvest I have 2 more going into stretch in a separate 1.5 high by 1 wide and deep tent. I use philzon 1200w lights ( I just jumped into it without doing proper research ) and have an excellent ventilation/filtration system ( that one was easy for me to sort )
I grow in soil, that I’ve mixed myself, in self watering pots, because I can use the channel at the bottom to change out the liquid every 1-2 days, if I make a mistake with fertiliser ( so far so good ) It’s perfect for rinsing quickly and excellent for flushing before harvest.

I only grew 1 last harvest, this beautiful baby is the Bergman’s Gold leaf photo period strain! Sorry I’m not sure if the second picture is the Gold leaf or an old picture of my first Afghan XXL… :man_facepalming:

Afghan XXL mass update. I’ve been using the spider farmer 1000 on this Afghan for a few days now and it’s so much better than what I was using! Yes the plant is in stretch but I never got this kind of explosion of growth before! 6 weeks old today!

Afghan XXL mass 7 weeks today!

I have also done some work on the Afghan today, using expert pruning techniques. Because it’s a big bud strain, I’m training this plant to only grow buds off the main branches. PS this isn’t my first training of this strain, it needs heavy training/pruning to help it produce the big buds in the growing conditions I have!
